  • International Relations Observatory, university analysis forum, reflection, and research regarding international issues of the Faculty of Social Sciences and Communications of Universidad Europea Madrid. The Media Lab, Europea Media is integrated into the structure through a new website which will act as a tool to share content. Students of International Relations and Communications, together with professors and experts, manage the information and experiment with new formats in the treatment and visualization of data. With this academic innovation project, the faculty advances in the design and creation of teaching methodologies in this case related to the learning experience of students of International Relations and similar disciplines.  
  • Legal Clinic, where you will enter into contact with real clients, who need to solve real cases, working with practicing lawyers working on a pro bono basis, which facilitates the understanding of the social practice of lawyers.

Accommodation

If you are coming from outside of the Region of Madrid and would like to undertake the on-site full-time program, you can find accommodation in line with your needs: near to campus, safe, comfortable, in an academic setting, with good services, quality furnishings, etc. Thanks to the two student halls that Universidad Europea has, both located on campus and with capacity for 550 people, with all domestic, academic and safety needs ideally suited to a student.

These student halls are destined both for students or for those teachers or personnel who may need accommodation at some point: scientific, artistic or cultural exchanges, or even for any other person whose stay is directly or indirectly related to the University.

Héctor Carretie
Doctor Europeus, Universidad Rey Juan Carlos, Master’s Degree in International Accounting and Financial Direction, Universidad Rey Juan Carlos and a Graduate of Economics Sciences and Business, Universidad Autónoma Madrid. Has worked in different positions in private companies in Madrid and London (CFO, KAM & Controller). Currently teaches accounting at Universidad Europea Madrid and CEU San Pablo. 

Jesús Muñoz
Doctor in Economics, Universidad Complutense Madrid. Master’s Degree in Economics, Universidad Complutense Madrid. Graduate in Economics, Universidad Complutense de Madrid. Professor of Economics, Universidad Europea Madrid, where he also teaches classes in the Master’s Degree in Commerce and International Economic Relations. Furthermore, he collaborates in the teaching of the Master’s Degree in Internationalization of Companies and Foreign Trade and in the Master’s Degree in Direction and Management of Social Economics and Cooperation, both at the Universidad Católica de Ávila.

Alberto Moreno
Graduate in History, Universidad Complutense Madrid. Master’s Degree in Cultural Management, Université Libre de Bruxelles, Double Master’s Degree in European Tourism Management, Bournemouth University and Université de Savoie and European Doctor in Tourism, Universidad Rey Juan Carlos having completed exchanges at Dalarna University and Université du Québec à Montréal. Has developed his professional activity as a tourism consultant in aspects relating to the planning and development of tourist destinations and has collaborated with international organizations such as the World Tourism Organization and the World Bank. Currently, he teaches the Degree in Tourism and is Director of the Business Department of the Faculty of Social Sciences and Communications. His main areas of research relate to the planning and management of tourism destinations. 

César San Juan

Luis Fernando Gracia
Master’s Degree in Financial Advising in the framework of NIIF, Universidad Rey Juan Carlos. Graduate in Business Administration, Universidad de Buenos Aires, Argentina, recognized by the Universidad Carlos III de Madrid. Has taught both in Argentina and in Spain, as a Professor of Financial Accounting, Accounting Costs and Company Accounting, at Universidad Carlos III de Madrid and at Universidad Europea de Madrid, teaching in both English and Spanish. With other teachers in the Accounting Department at Universidad Europea Madrid, has published a Financial Accounting Manual, using active methodologies applied to the new European Higher Education Area.  He works as an international tutor in student exchange programs, both for outgoing and incoming students at Universidad Europea Madrid. His main areas of research include the accounting regulations on an international scale and nationally in Spain, Brazil, Canada, Holland and China.

Susana Sousa
Doctor in Economics and Business Sciences, Universidad Complutense de Madrid. Has developed her professional activity in brokerage firms and investment banking, acting as an intermediary, managing portfolios, treasury, and arbitration. With ample teaching experience in the teaching and business sector, she is currently Director of the Department of Global Degrees, International Business and International Relations at Universidad Europea Madrid and honorary collaborator at Universidad Complutense Madrid. She has undertaken international exchanges at Haas School of Business (Berkeley), Harvard University (Cambridge) and the London School of Economics. Her main research areas include tourism financing, adding value and new teaching methods. 

Marina Mattera
Doctor in Economics and Business, Universidad Europea de Madrid (UEM). Has worked as Head of Administration in the area of Private Banking and management of private pensions. In the last years has been a visiting professor at HoGhent (Belgium), Glyndwr University (United Kingdom), Bilgi Universitesi (Turkey) and in 2013, was a Visiting Scholar at The George Washington University. She is highly experienced in coordinating projects with the World Bank and participates as a researcher in different projects at Universidad Europea Madrid and The Hague Foundation, including a Project financed by the Ministry of Finance and Competition. Currently, is a Professor of Management and Innovation and a member of the Production and Organization Management Society. Her main areas of research are the management of innovation, sustainability, and teaching innovation. 

Cecilia Marie Ward
Bachelor of Arts (University of Maryland). Executive MBA (EAE). Has developed her professional activity as a senior consultant at A.C. Nielsen and as a Country Manager and Commercial Director at JDA Intactix. In both companies, she specialized in merchandising studies. She is a bilingual Professor of Marketing and Commercial Research. She has international experience in the USA where she has worked on the commercialization and initiation of distance education systems. Currently, is a doctoral student in the Business Economics program at Universidad Europea Madrid and her area of research is Mobile Marketing and Social Networks and their effect on intangible company assets.

Miguel Benedicto Solsona
Doctor in Political Sciences, Universidad Complutense Madrid. Graduate in Law, Universidad Zaragoza. General Secretary, Federal Council European Movement (Consejo Federal del Movimiento Europeo) where he coordinates the annual program of activities together with the president and directs the online quarterly magazine “Europa en Movimiento”.

Admission process

1. Documentation

To begin your admission process, the first thing to do is book your appointment online or by calling 91 740 72 72.

2.  What does the admissions test consist of?

When will you know you’ve been accepted?

You’ll find out the result of the admissions test via an admissions letter that you’ll receive by email. If you have any doubts or queries, you can contact our Admissions Department for New Students at ads@universidadeuropea.es

3. Reserve your place

Along with the admissions letter, you will receive an envelope with information about official registration. It is recommended that in order to reserve your place, you should respond within 7 days of receiving the letter.

4. Registration

All students joining the Universidad Europea for the first time, wanting to study a degree, must open a file with the university, prior to registration. The Department of Admission for New Students will provide the candidate with all the documentation and forms to complete their registration.

Convalidations and transfers

You don’t have to carry on doing something you don’t want to. For this reason, we have designed specific convalidation and university transfer plan. If you want to know your personalized plan, as quickly and easily as possible, send us an email to convalidaciones@universidadeuropea.es along with the following documentation:

  • Personal academic certificate of the original degree.
  • Study plan sealed by the Secretariat of the center of origin.
  • The academic program of the subjects studied and/or enrolled in the original degree.
  • Officially translated degree certificate (only in the case of foreign graduates)

In case of requesting recognition for professional experience, you will be required to provide;

  • Work life certificate
  • Curriculum vitae
  • Company certificate, only in those cases where it is necessary to prove the functions performed in the company, or in cases of students with international professional experience who cannot provide a work-life certificate.

Professional practices

Internships in companies are a key element in your education. Acquiring experience and putting into practice what you have learned on your degree is the best way to enter the labor market. There are two types of internship, curricular (which are included as part of your program) and extracurricular (which you can do on a voluntary basis).

In order to carry out an internship in a company, you’ll need to have passed 50% of your credits and register before you start the internship. Both the company and a professor on your course will monitor your progress on the internship as well as providing an evaluation at the half way mark and upon completion. 

If you want to gain extra work experience before finalizing your university studies, you are welcome to carry out extracurricular internships. You can carry them out in whichever year of your studies you choose but we remind you that internships are formative and should complement your studies. The more theoretical knowledge you have acquired throughout your degree, the more you will benefit from the internships.
