Antonio San José
President of Communication Advisory Council
Graduated with a Bachelor's Degree in Journalism from Universidad Complutense de Madrid, Antonio San José is recognized as one of the leading references in Spanish journalism, he has held various job roles such as Director of “Non Stop People” –a channel of Movistar TV–, News Director at Canal+, CNN+ and RNE; Assistant News Director at Antena 3; he was the founder of Los Desayunos at TVE and the Director of the interviews program Cara a Cara (CNN+) y en su última etapa Director de Comunicación del Banco Popular and in his last stage Communication Director of Banco Popular.
In addition, he was the Communications Director for Loterías y Apuestas del Estado, the Spanish State Lottery and was designated Director of Communication and Institutional Relations for Aeropuertos Españoles y Navegación Aérea (AENA), a position he held for three years until March of 2015.
A founding academic of the Spanish Academy of Arts and Cinematographic Sciences, he is a member of the Spanish Association of Communication Directors and a founding member of the Association of European Journalists. Among other recognitions, San José has received three Ondas Awards, three Golden Antennas and the Salvador de Madariaga Prize.
Journalist and RNE presenter
Graduated with a Bachelor's Degree in Journalism from Universidad Complutense de Madrid, he currently hosts the program Las Mañanas de RNE, the RNE's flagship national radio program.
From 1996 to 1999 he developed his professional career as director for the News Services at Radio Voz. In 2002 he joined Onda Zero where he remained up until 2013. Initially he was deputy director of the morning program Protagonistas with Luis del Olmo and later was responsible for the local news programs for Onda Zero in Madrid. From 2007 to 2013 he directed the program Gente de Madrid.
Anabel Diez Navarrete
Political correspondent for the El País newspaper
She graduated from the Universidad Complutense de Madrid with a Bachelor's Degree in Information Sciences, specializing in Journalism and undertook studies in Political Sciences at the School of Political Sciences and Sociology of the Universidad Complutense de Madrid. In 1983 she joined Radio El País and a year later, became a member of the editorial team at El País where she continued her professional career in the field of politics and parliamentary activity. She is a regular collaborator on Spanish National Television and Onda Zero and since 2014 she has been president of the Association of Parliamentary Journalists (she also held this post ten years previously).
She received the Luis Carandell award for Parliamentary Columnist of the Year 2011, conferred by the Senate following the votes of parliamentary journalists and the members of the Assembly of the Upper Chamber, presented by the then Princes of Asturias.
Columnist and collaborator at ABC newspaper
Graduated with a Bachelor's Degree in Spanish Philology from Universidad de Sevilla, Ignacio Camacho is a columnist and contributor at ABC. His professional career started at the newspapers Nueva Andalucía and El Correo de Andalucía between 1980 and 1982. After this, he joined the founding team of the Andalusian edition of Diario 16. He held the positions of deputy editor and columnist for the Madrid and Seville editions of El Mundo newspaper. From 2000 he worked as assistant to the editor of ABC in Seville, to be appointed in 2004 as editor of the newspaper, taking over from José Antonio Zarzalejos.
In addition to working as a columnist and lead writer, Camacho is a regular participant on talk shows and was professor of Cultural Journalism at the Universidad de Sevilla from 1992 to 1996. He was recently presented with the XIX Miguel Delibes National Journalism Award for his work "Almendras Amargas" [Bitter almonds] published in ABC and has also received the González-Ruano and Mariano de Cavia journalism awards.
Director of Communication at Grupo Prisa
Graduated with a Bachelor's Degree in Journalism from Universidad Complutense de Madrid, he works as Deputy News Editor at El País since March 2016.
He was part of the founding team of La Gaceta de los Negocios and after a period working at El Solnewspaper, joined El País as editor for the Economics section of the paper, where he worked from February 1991 to November 2000. In that year he joined Cinco Días and was appointed deputy editor of the financial publication in 2003. In June 2005 he took over as editor of the newspaper. Rivera took over the position from Javier Moreno, who joined El País as deputy editor of the Sunday edition.
José Antonio Navas
Communications Director of Tragsa
José Antonio Navas joined Tragsa in 2017 as a Communications Director. He arrived Tragsa from El Confidencial online media, where he had worked as Assistant to Editor.
Previously, he was designated deputy editor at ABC and he has worked for the leading media specialized in economics including Cinco Días and Expansión. In addition he has appeared on talk shows on Telemadrid,COPE and Canal 13 TV. He also formed part of the editorial teams of other general information media, always related to economic and financial information, including, El País, La Razón and the now defunct Diario 16, as well as the abovementioned, ABC newspaper.
Columnist at El Español
She started her career at El Mundo newspaper after having studied Journalism and Political Sciences at the Universidad Complutense de Madrid and taking the El País Master's Degree. In 2003 she arrived at the magazine Marie Claire where she worked as deputy editor until 2008, the year in which became editor of the Spanish edition of Vanity Fair, owned by Condé Nast Publications. She was Editor of Vanity Fair Spain and Mexico until 2017.
She has taken part in numerous talk shows on RNE, Cuatro, CNN+, Antena 3 and La Sexta, as well as in round table media discussions at the IE Business School and at the Universidad Menéndez Pelayo in Santander. She coordinated the edition of the book: “Vanity Fair: the secret of the best exclusives” published by Planeta in 2014. The Vanity Fair Mexico magazine was launched in April 2015 and is also edited by Lourdes Garzón.
Director of Hoy por Hoy on Cadena Ser
Graduated with a Bachelor's Degree in Journalism from Universidad Complutense de Madrid, she hosts the program Hoy por Hoy on Cadena Ser. She launched her career at the news services of Spanish National Radio in Extremadura, Aragón and Madrid. In 1991 she joined Televisión Española and in 1996 became deputy director of the current affairs program Gente. From 2004 to 2009 she worked on Los Desayunos de TVE.
Having held various positions of responsibility at this public entity, in 2012 she became the face of the flagship Spanish radio program Hoy por Hoy on Cadena SER. In 2014 she joined the team of Un tiempo nuevo on Telecinco as a collaborator until January 2015. In February 2015 she took over from Risto Mejide to present Viajando con Chester on the Cuatro TV station.
She embarked on her professional career at the Colpisa agency, reporting on political information during the Transition, as well as foreign politics and the activities of the Royal Household. She currently writes a daily political column for some thirty provincial newspapers, a weekly column for La Estrella Digital and is a collaborator at Onda Zero and on the program Espejo Público (Antena 3).
She has collaborated with different written and audiovisual media including ABC, RNE, COPE, TVE and regional television stations. She directed the Fax Press news agency until its closure in 2009. Among the twenty books she has written, of particular note are “El presidente, una biografía de Felipe González” [The president, a biography of Felipe González] and “30 días de Noviembre” [30 days of November]. Her latest book, Genio y figura, that analyses the role of King Juan Carlos, was published in June 2015.
