  • Testimonies

I came here for a 6 month stay and now I live in Madrid

Valentina Villa, Erasmus student from Bergamo, Italy. Communication school

One of the things that most impressed me about the university is the healthy atmosphere and the continuous sensation of energy. We have materials and facilities of the highest quality for our training.

From the very first the International Department did all they could to make my stay as pleasant as possible. They helped me establish harmony between the professional world and my university classes.

Personally, I feel very close to this university and my stay here along with all the conferences and masterclasses and the option of sharing experiences with my fellow students has helped me find what really interests me, and also my path in life.”

My experience at UEM together with all the activities offered by the university has allowed me to develop in personal and professional terms.

Marco Schätzel, International student from Leipzig University, Germany.

My stay in Madrid is proving to be an incredible experience. I live in Madrid, which is completely different from my city. The way of life is different and the people are much more open. I really like Madrid!

Since my first day, both the lecturers and the students have helped me settle in and enjoy this experience. The university has helped me with the language and I have intensive Spanish lessons which have allowed me to improve before starting the classes.

I was able to choose the coursework I wanted and for that reason I find each class more and more enjoyable. The class groups have fewer students than in my country so there is a better relationship with the lecturers, a closer relationship. In practical classes such as tennis and golf we make the most of our time.

I love UEM for its facilities and people; it is open and friendly and they help you adapt from the very first day.

Abla Berberi, Erasmus from Genoa University (Italy) Biomedical School, studying the last year of the Bachelor's Degree in Medicine.

I study in Italy and I wanted to experience living in Spain. When you come here, you have obviously come to enjoy yourself, not only because of the studies but also because of the culture, the cities the atmosphere…

The classes are small and this allows us to have a more direct relationship with fellow students and lecturers. The lecturers even offer to explain things to us or help us outside class hours! This makes us feel more motivated. It improves the quality of the teaching.

If I want to be a doctor I must have global vision of things and an experience like this will help me in the future in my personal and professional life. It changes your way of thinking.

It is an unbelievable experience! We recommend it without a doubt.

Valeria Callejas and Anna Rodriguez, Laureate Network students (Garcilaso) Universidad de las Américas (UDLA), Ecuador. School of Arts and Communication. Bachelor's Degree in Advertising.

We have always wanted to participate in an exchange. We took advantage of the fact that our university is also a member of the Laureate Network and we realized there were many options. Of all the options available (Chile, Brazil, Spain and Peru) we decided to come here because of the language and because it was the one with the best references. We applied in March and April and in May we knew we were coming to UEM. The university responded to us very quickly.

We hope many more colleagues from Ecuador will come here and that a lot of Spaniards will also go to our university to study. Now we are interested in studying a double degree with UEM; that would be very interesting.

Advertising is an international career and being here allows us to learn a lot about advertising in Europe. The classes are in English and we meet fellow students from all over the world: Brazil, the Netherlands, Mexico, Ecuador, Austria, Italy, Spain…
