For what purposes do we process your personal data?

At the University we process your personal data in order to achieve the following purposes:

  • To send you advertising, promotional or other information that may be of interest to you by post, e-mail, SMS or other electronic means of communication of the University whose activities include teaching.
  • For the elaboration of profiles by means of marketing studies and statistical and segmentation techniques, and procedures that allow for the introduction of improvements and the selection of suitable offers of products and services according to their characteristics and needs, through internal sources.

What is the legitimacy of the University for the processing of your data?

The basis for the processing of your personal data is to be found in the development and execution of the relationship with you, which is detailed in this document, as well as in the fulfilment of the legal obligations of the University and your unequivocal consent. 

To whom will your personal data be passed on?

The personal data processed by the University to achieve the purposes described above may be communicated to the following recipients on the basis of the legitimate basis of the communication.

By virtue of the foregoing, the following data communications are intended to guarantee the correct development of the contractual relationship, as well as to comply with legal obligations that require the aforementioned communications to be made.

Therefore, your data may be transferred to the Group's parent company located in the United States. Your personal data may be accessed by our service providers located within and outside the European Economic Area (EEA).

How long do we store your data?

Personal data will be kept for the duration of your request and, subsequently, as long as you have not exercised your right to deletion, they will be kept taking into account the legal deadlines applicable in each specific case, the type of data and the purpose of the processing.

What are your rights in relation to the processing of your data by us?

The University informs you that you have the right to access your personal data and obtain confirmation of how the data is being processed. You also have the right to request that inaccurate data be corrected or, where appropriate, deleted when, among other reasons, the data is no longer necessary for the purposes for which it was collected by the University.

In certain circumstances, you may request a restriction on the processing of your data, in which case the University will only retain your data for the purpose of exercising or defending any claims.

You may withdraw your consent at any time, if consent has been given for a specific purpose, without affecting the lawfulness of the processing based on your consent prior to its withdrawal.

You may present a complaint with the data protection Supervisory Authority. However, in the first instance, he or she may present a complaint with the Data Protection Officer, who shall reply to the complaint within a maximum period of two months.

For the elaboration of profiles by means of marketing studies and statistical and segmentation techniques and procedures that allow for the introduction of improvements and the selection of suitable offers of products and services according to their characteristics and needs, through the crossing of data with files owned by third parties , if they have consented to their transfer.

5. To send you advertising and promotional information or any other information that may be of interest to you by post, e-mail, SMS or other means of electronic communication of the COMPANY whose activities include teaching.

6. To send you advertising, promotional or other information that may be of interest to you via postal mail, email, SMS and other electronic means of communication from third parties, if you have consented.

7. To send advertising, promotional or other information that may be of interest to you by post, email, SMS or other means of electronic communication of the COMPANY, once your relationship as a student at the University has ended, if you have consented.
