Universidad Europea Professor Jorge Portocarrero took part in the Madrid Book Fair, signing copies of his new novel

Published by Huerga y Fierro, “La base Delors” is a novel about a young member of the civil guard who is sent on a peacekeeping mission

Professor of Semiotics and Medical Humanities at Universidad Europea Jorge Portocarrero attended the 75th edition of the Madrid Book Fair, where he had the opportunity to sign copies of his latest book “La base Delors.” During this annual book event, the writer shared opinions with readers who came to the Paseo del Coches in Madrid’s Retiro park.

In addition to this novel, the writer and neurologist, who was born in Lima and currently lives in Madrid, has published two other novels with Huerga y Fierro publishers:Notas de Juventud y otras particularidades” and “Suelta de Bestias.”

Portocarrero’s novel is about a young member of the civil guard, Marco Molpeceres, whose first assignment is to take part in a European Union peacekeeping mission in the city of Zolto. His boss for the mission is an art collector who asks him to contact holograph artist Loter Tucol in order to purchase quality works of art on the cheap in this backdrop of war and destruction.
