The Universidad Europea Villaviciosa de Odón Campus was the setting for the Master Class “Initial treatment of severe trauma, a teamwork model”, offered by Doctor Mario Chico Fernández, Head of the Trauma Intensive Care Unit at the Hospital Universitario 12 de Octubre, on Friday, June 10.
The doctor offered an introduction to the epidemiology of severe trauma patients, he spoke of the economic and social importance of caring for these patients and, finally, he addressed the issue from a multidisciplinary perspective detailing the different professionals who work in his unit.
The audience members asked about the responsibility of nursing in his unit and how they can work there.
