Universidad Europea organizes a new meeting with 4th year Nursing Degree students

18 oct 2016

On September 14, the Universidad Europea held a new edition of the Meeting of 4th Year Nursing Students, as part of the events to mark the opening of the 2016-2017 academic year. During the event the start of the Academic and Career Guidance Plan was announced, with support from the Nursing department and headed up by the students themselves. The meeting also brought together former students to exchange personal experiences and guide final year students in educational and professional aspects.

The meeting began with a presentation by Ana Giménez Maroto, Vice Dean and director of the Nursing Department, Marta Rodríguez García, director of the Nursing Department, and Inmaculada López Martín, professor at the Nursing Department. Next came the presentation of the Graduation Projects developed by students last academic year, moderated by Graduation Project coordinator Inmaculada López. This year the meeting included a round table with the executive team of the Association for the Fight Against Kidney Disease (ALCER), as well as the general director of the National ALCER Federation Juan Carlos Julián Mauro. The debate was also moderated by Inmaculada Pérez and brought students closer to the real life of a chronic kidney patient through the experiences led by students and members of the CRECE Project.

The meeting also covered the experiences of various Nursing and Medicine students during their time in Guatemala last July; one of the mini international cooperation projects organized by the Universidad Europea. Finally, the students had the chance to talk with the coordinators of Internship Centers in Hospitals and Health Centers with a round table moderated by Pilar González Sanz, coordinator of Nursing Internships.
