All campuses of the Institution will hold various activities on 8 March to commemorate International Women's Day
Universidad Europea is preparing to commemorate Women's Day with a large number of activities at its campuses in the Canary Islands, Madrid and Valencia. In each of them, events will be held to highlight the role and contribution of women in society. Activities include 3D puzzles of inspirational women and an exhibition showcasing the careers of these outstanding figures. In addition, there will be a photography festival where the participating images will be exhibited.
Additional actions will take place at Universidad Europea de Madrid to celebrate this special day. There will be stands of NGOs such as FIET GRATIA, ASOCIACIÓN MUM and PMORVG, providing the opportunity to learn about and support various causes related to gender equality. There will also be a dance masterclass, organised by the Universidad Europea Dance Club.
On the other hand, at Universidad Europea de Canarias, there will be equally enriching activities for the students. A mural will be created with quotes from great women in history, honouring their legacy and remembering their impact on society. Additionally, the Art Club will produce Women's Day posters, which can be printed in Madrid and Valencia.
At Universidad Europea de Valencia, teachers and researchers from the institution will explain the role of women in research at the round table "Being a woman and doing research at the University: Women researchers at the European University of Valencia". In addition to answering this question, the fundamental contribution of research to society will be highlighted and the figure of great female researchers will be made visible.
Universities are the social reflection of the society of the future. The more diverse the campuses are, the more equality there will be in companies in the future. For this reason, every day Universidad Europea tries to promote equality in all degrees, reinforcing the areas where the presence of women has traditionally been lower.
