Universidad Europea and Fundación Real Madrid have ratified their collaboration agreement for the academic institution to support the sustainability of the Foundation’s Social and Sports Schools for Basketball in Madrid, in order to guarantee access to quality basketball training for over 500 boys and girls aged between 5 and 16. This new collaboration extends the support offered to date for sports physical therapy programs for rare and neurological diseases, and also attention to minors at risk of exclusion at the Social and Sports Schools at the Universidad Europea health clinic.
Under the agreement, the number of Bachelor’s Degree in Physical Activity and Sport students at the University who can take internships on Fundación Real Madrid social and sport projects will also be extended. This is an extension of a collaboration that began four years ago, and with sponsorship from Real Madrid de Baloncesto, the University will increase its ties with all areas of the Club: from an academic perspective with the Real Madrid – Universidad Europea Graduate School, in sport with the Basketball section, and the club’s social commitment implemented by the Foundation.
As General Manager of Universidad Europea Conrado Briceño said “ratifying this agreement with Fundación Real Madrid, with which we share the same global vision, is key to our Social Responsibility strategy and sets a milestone in the university sector in Spain”.“This alliance is the result of the commitment and firm belief of both institutions in the need to invest all our efforts in educating young people through sport and education to contribute to social progress”, he added.
