At an event held at the Príncipe Felipe Museum and attended by the president of the Regional Government, Ximo Puig, and the CEO of Ford Spain, Jesús Alonso, the Rector of the Universidad Europea de Valencia, Juan Morote, presented the main findings of the Report on the Impact of Ford in the Autonomous Community of Valencia. The study was developed by professors Amparo Galbis, Agustín Peralt and Roberto Gómez Calvet.
The Report is one of the activities designed to mark the 40th anniversary of Ford in Spain and its factory in Almussafes. It highlights the role of Ford Spain as a driving force of the economy and social and business sectors in the Autonomous Community of Valencia and Spain as a whole. It also demonstrates that vehicle manufacturing is a significant boost to overcome the current economic crisis.
Ford Almussafes is the factory with most employees per square kilometer in the Autonomous Community of Valencia according to the Report.
