Latest trends in the fitness sector and physical exercise research conference

The event was attended by key people from the sport sector

Last Monday, at the Villaviciosa de Odón Campus at the Real Madrid Graduate School – Universidad Europea, several fitness professionals gathered to attend the conferences organised by the Master Degree in Physical Activity and Health, in collaboration with the Physical Activity and Sports faculty at the Universidad Europea, where they enjoyed talks on the benefits, objectives and evolution of the new trends in the fitness sector, such as a electrostimulation and CrossFit.

The event was attended by several professionals such as Álvaro Fernández Rodríguez, who talked about electrostimulation applied to strength training, weight control and functional recovery.

Attendees also had the opportunity of meeting with one of the most relevant members of the faculty of teachers at the Master Degree in Physical Activity and Health at the School, Guillermo Muñoz Andrada. Furthermore, Guillermo is the co-founder of one of the biggest CrossFit centers in Madrid.

Alfredo Santalla, the well-known researcher, was also in the event. He holds 3 national research prizes in sports medicine, and he is also a teacher at the Master Degree in Physical Activity and Health at the Real Madrid Graduate School – Universidad Europea.

This event is a great opportunity for the students to meet some of the key professionals in the sector, on top of acquiring new knowledge that builds on what they’ve learned in their respective masters and degrees.
