Farewell of the students from Chile

The students finished their visit to the school after a week of experienced-based learning.

Last Friday, the students from the IEDE from Chile said goodbye to the Real Madrid Graduate School – Universidad Europea after a week full of visits, learning that was very valuable for their professional education.

They started their stay with a visit to Valdebebas, the official Real Madrid sports facilities, where they saw all the different places and facilities where all the categories of the Real Madrid football team holds their training sessions. They learnt about all the relevant aspects of the clubs, such as their values and their learning method. They were also offered a lecture by the ‎Head of Football Administration at Real Madrid FC, José Ramón Capdevilla. On Tuesday, they visited the school’s campus at Villaviciosa de Odón, where they were greeted by Juan Carlos Fociños, who talked about sports management in different sectors.

They also paid a visit to the Alcobendas Campus and to the High Performance Sports Centre,  and they learnt from one of the most relevant institutions in the world of football, the Royal Spanish Football Federation, where they spoke about the design and utilization for profit of the stadiums and arenas.  

The Santiago Bernabéu Stadium was another of the visits that the future sports professionals attended. There, Carlos Pérez and Jorge de la Vega, Responsible for International sales and Sponsorship respectively, talked about some of the marketing and sponsorship campaigns that the club is running. After that, Emilio Butragueño, Director of International Relations at Real Madrid F.C. and also Director of Real Madrid Graduate School proceed to the presentation of the diplomas.

This week, full of activities and knowledge, was a great opportunity for the students that are currently attending the MBA in Sports Management Real Madrid at the IEDE in Chile. The visit to the Real Madrid Graduate School – Universidad Europea is part of their academic programme.
