Celebration of the Business and Marketing Open Day

Last Thursday the 14th of September,  the Business and Marketing Open Day was held at the Santiago Bernabéu Stadium

Emilio Butragueño, The Director of International Relations at Real Madrid FC and also General Director of the Real Madrid Graduate School – Universidad Europea, welcomed the attendees, among whom we could find Rafael de Los Santos, the New Media Manager at Real Madrid FC, who made a little intro about the School to the audience and talked about the main pillars of one of the most relevant educational-institutions, not only in our country but an international level.

Ricardo García-Viana, Director of the Master in Sports Marketing, and Marisa Sáenz, Director of the MBA in Sports Management and Sport Entities Direction, presented the main topics of the master: the key topics that they teach, the different businesses that they collaborate with for work experience and also the real-world opportunities that the students will have.  

They most relevant part of the Open Day was when Rafael Los Santos, New Media Manager at Real Madrid CF, talked about “The Keys to Engagement” with real examples from the Real Madrid team. He invests a big part of his time in working in communication and the digital world for Real Madrid.  A great example of his work is that this Football team has been the first one in reaching 100 million fans on their Facebook page.

At the end of the session, there were networking drinks, where students and former students could talk and meet each other.

It was a very productive day for both current students and former students, who share a common interest: the sports sector and all that it implies.
