Medicine Admission Process for university students

Request your convalidation eligibility

To request whether your studies can be convalidated in a simple, free and non-binding way, at Universidad Europea de Madrid you can find our online tool that offers you a personalized service indicating the subjects that will be convalidated. You can also access through the following link.

Just follow the steps indicated and within approximately one week you will receive the result via email. Any questions related to convalidations can be sent to convalidaciones@universidadeuropea.es

Documentation necessary to carry out a convalidation assessment: Academic certificate of the degree(s).

*The convalidation study is indicative. It will not have official validity until all the information is on file and the approved by the Dean of the Faculty.

Submit your application

You can submit your application for admission to the university from February 23 to July 20.

For this you will have to:

  • Fill out the Admission form that you can DOWNLOAD FROM THE WEB.
  • Pay the Admission Fees. The acts as confirmation by the student to participate in the Admission Process.
  • Admission fees represent an amount of € 150.

The amount of this fee will not be refundable in any circumstance.

  • Submit Admission Documentation 
  • Two photocopies of the ID (passport in the case of foreign students)
  • Proof of payment of admission fees if made by bank deposit
  • Academic documentation corresponding to your form of access to the University.

Send all the documentation described to the email account adsonline_grado@universidadeuropea.es indicating in the subject your name, surname and ID.en el asunto tu nombre apellidos y DNI.

Take the English test

Once we have received your application with the corresponding documentation, we will send you the instructions and passwords with the steps to follow to take the English test:

1.      Access through the link and enter the following username and password that will be provided to you when you submit your application:

  • Enter in the ENTER YOUR USERNAME field: xxxxxxxx
  • Enter in the ENTER YOUR PASSWORD field: xxxxxxxxx

2.      Next, a page will be displayed in which you must enter:

  • First Name
  • Last Name
  • Enrollment ID (Identity Document)

3.      Once you click on Save and Continue, an orange button with the word 'GO' will appear. As soon as you click on this button, you will have 50 minutes to perform the test. In the top right you will see a counter that indicates the time remaining to complete the test.

Remember there is a listening part to the test, so you will need to have audio on your device enabled.

Confirmation of Admission

As of July 31, you can check the outcome of your application. The result will not be communicated by phone or email. For this, you will have to register with your ID (or passport if you are from another country) through the following link.

The published result may not be contested.

Confirming the Place and Registration

- MAKE THE PAYMENT OF € 2,910 (Place reservation: € 2140 and File opening: € 770). To take up your place, if you are one of the admitted candidates to study the Degree in Medicine, you will have a period of 7 days working days to make the payment, counting from the day following the publication of the final results on the web.

You can pay by credit card or bank transfer to the following bank, clearly indicating surnames, name and ID.

In no case will the place reservation fees be returned.

- CONFIRM THE REGISTRATION by filling in the registration forms and bank details of the registration envelope, which will be delivered to you on the day you perform the face-to-face selection tests, and send / deliver it:

  • By postal mail to the following address: New Degree Students Admission Department, University Campus Building B. Calle Tajo s / n Urb. El Bosque. 28670, Villaviciosa de Odón (Madrid)
  • In person at the Admission Department of New Degree Students located in Building B, from Monday to Friday, 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. and Saturdays from 9:00 a.m. 2:00 p.m

In the event the student has been admitted, but for whatever reason can not confirm ther enrollment, they must communicate this in writing via an email to nuevosalumnosmedicina@universidadeuropea.es to the attention of the Department of Attention and Admission of New Students of Universidad Europea de Madrid in order to cancel their admission and their place.

In no case will the amounts of reservation fee and opening of file be returned.

Once the period has elapsed without the candidate having proceeded to carry out the registration confirmation, his or her place will automatically be offered to other candidates on the waiting list in accordance with the order determined by the Evaluation Board.

Candidates on the waiting list who were contacted by the New Student Admission Department to accept one of the places not occupied, will have a period of 5 calendar days from communication to pay the amount of the reservation of place, opening of file and first monthly payment.

Admissions process asessment requirements

External transfers:

The number of places will depend on each course.

Admission criteria:

  1. Submit the application within the deadline
  2. Do not combine other undergraduate studies at UEM.
  3. Present the academic record to be validated.
  4. Proceed from the branches of knowledge of Health Sciences
  5. Applications from a Faculty of Medicine will prevail
  6. In the case of being an international student, a level of Spanish B2.2 will be required in the first and second year and a level C1 at the beginning of the third and subsequent years.
  7. Graduate students, graduates of the UEM, may apply.
  8. Students will not be eligible to take the first full year and must take a subject from higher courses.
  9. Under all circumstances, students with transfer of records must take at least 133 ECTS corresponding to the clinical subjects of the Degree in Medicine at Universidad Europea de Madrid.

Scaling criteria:

Students who transfer will be ordered according to the vacant places existing in each course and if several students compete for the same vacant place, they will be ordered, by average grade of the academic record.

Admission will be evaluated with the following criteria:

  •  Academic record of the home university: 90%
  • Language test: 10%

Internal Transfers

The number of places offered for students of the Faculty of Biomedical and Health Sciences of the UEM who wish to carry out these studies represents 8% of the total offered in Medicine. There will be a maximum of 16 places.

  • Opening date of the application admission process: TBC
  • Closing date of the application admission process: TBC
  • Process resolution date: TBC

Admission criteria:

  • Submit the application within the deadline
  • Do not combine other degree studies at UEM.
  • Be enrolled and have all the first course approved (60 ECTS) in an official degree from the Faculty of Biomedical and Health Sciences.
  • In the case of being an international student, a level of Spanish B2.2 will be required in the first and second year and a level C1 at the beginning of the third year and beyond.
  • Students who graduated from UEM in 2017 or previous years may not submit applications.
  • In all circumstances, students with transfer of records must take at least 133 ECTS corresponding to the clinical subjects of the Degree in Medicine of the European University of Madrid.

Scaling criteria:

Those UEM students who have the highest number of validated ECTS of the degree program in Medicine based on the recognition criteria established by the Faculty for said degree will have priority in access by transfer to the Degree in Medicine. In the event of a tie, this will be settled by an average grade from the academic record.
