Access Requirements

In order to access the Master’s Degree, the student must satisfy the legal requirements in accordance with R.D. 1393/2007:

  • In order to access the Master’s degree it will be necessary to have an official Spanish university degree or other issued by a higher education institution in the European Higher Education Area which allows the candidate in the country where the degree was issued, to access postgraduate Master’s Degrees.  
  • Those candidates who have obtained their degrees in educational systems outside the EHEA will also be able to access the course without the need to get their degree officially recognized, once the University has ensured that their degree is equivalent to the corresponding official Spanish university degree and allows the candidate, in the country where the degree was issued, to access postgraduate studies. Access via this route will not imply the official recognition of the prior undergraduate degree, nor its recognition for any other purpose other than to access the Master’s Degree.

Dr. Miguel Ángel Povedano Jiménez
Program Director. Miguel Ángel Povedano Jiménez is professor of Economics and Business in the Faculty of Social Sciences and Communication, Universidad Europea, specializing in the Financial Area. He is a Doctor in Economics and Business as well as holding a Master’s Degree in Trade and International Economic Relations. Since 1987 when he commenced his career at the Madrid Trade Exchange, he has always worked in the business world, where he has significant experience. His background has become enriched over the course of over 30 years as an Adviser and Consultant, Financial Director, Chairman and Business Founder in different fields and sectors.

Dr. Antonio Hernández
Antonio Hernández Garcia, is a Commercial Tech and State Economist since 1991, Doctor in Applied Economics, Universidad de Alcalá de Henares, Graduate in Economics and Business Sciences, UCM, has completed the Leadership in Public Management Course, IESE.  Is partner of Energy and International Strategy, KPMG Spain since 2011 and previously held several positions in the public sector, including: General Manager of Energy and Mines Policy, Deputy Managing Director of Foreign Relations and Competitiveness and Economic and Commercial Counsel, Head of Commercial Offices in Iran and Bulgaria.

Dr. Belén García-Delgado
Qualified as PhD Assistant Professor by ANECA (2016). Doctor with European mention, Universidad Salamanca. Graduate in Documentation and Spanish Language, Universidad Salamanca. Master’s Degree in Teaching Spanish as a Foreign Language, Universidad Internacional Menéndez Pelayo. Member of the Research Group: (GIR) E-LECTRA: Electronic Reading and Editing, Transfer and Automated Recovery of Information.

Dr. Jesús Muñoz
Doctor in Economics, UCM. Currently, associate professor of Marketing and International Business, UEM. His areas of research are related to the internationalization procedures of Spanish manufacturing companies and their main determining factors, the role of production capacity restrictions and investment in Research and Development.

Dr. Javier Wrana
Lead Professor, Universidad Rey Juan Carlos de Madrid. Worked in the Department of Monetary Matters and Exchanges at the International Monetary Fund and for the European Commission (as a Consultant prior to Joining in Bulgaria).

César Lajud 
International Consultant. Was General Counsel in San Francisco (California) and Commercial Counsel for Mexico, as well as being the Head of the National Bank for Foreign Trade in Mexico. He has also worked as head of Business Development for Microsoft in Mexico. He has a wide range of teaching experience as an Economics and Foreign Trade professor in the Faculty of Social Sciences and Communications, Universidad Europea de Madrid.

Elena López
Graduate in Business Management and Marketing, CESMA Business School, Master’s Degree in Foreign Trade, CESMA Business School and EMBA, ESIC. Specialist in the development and implementation of 3PL at source, implementing the know-how both nationally and internationally, management and training of teams, procedures audits as well as analysis in decision-making based on Key Performance (KPI). Currently is an Intermodal Analyst in Maersk Line and previously worked as International Logistics Country Manager at El Corte Ingles.

Álvaro Muñoz
Commercial Tech and State Economist (TCEE) since 2015. Graduate in Law and Economics and Business Sciences (E-3), U.P. Comillas-ICADE. Currently works in the General Directorate for Industry and Small and Medium-Sized Companies for the Ministry of Industry, Trade and Tourism, having also worked in the General Directorate for Economic Policy. Is a preparer for the state exam of TCEE at ICEX-Ceco.

Carmen Lopez
Graduate in Economics and Business Sciences, Universidad Complutense de Madrid. Expert in foreign trade and international real estate investments. Currently is Head of the Department of Business Promotion in the Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Madrid.

Almudena Martín-González
Commercial Tech and State Economist since 2016 and Graduate in Law and Business Management, Universidad Autónoma de Madrid. Currently, Head of Commercial Matters in the Deputy General Directorate of Trade Services and Digital Trade.  

Dr. Daniel Fernández
Doctor in Economics and Master’s Degree in Applied Economics, Universidad de Alcalá. Professor at Universidad Francisco Marroquín, Guatemala and Director of Market Analysis at the same university.  

Dr. Desiderio Romero
Doctor in Economics, lead professor at Universidad Rey Juan Carlos with a wide range of teaching experience in the field of public economics. His areas of research are made up of business innovation and the demand for energy and transport, as well as the economic effects of taxes.

Dr. Fernando Moroy
Doctor in Economics and Business Sciences, Universidad Rey Juan Carlos and Graduate of Harvard Business School and associate professor in Finances, Universidad Carlos III, with over 35 years’ experience in the financial sector and in executive positions of responsibility in business areas.

Dr. Jakson R. Rodrigues
Doctor in Tourism Management and Planning, Universidad de la Coruña. Master’s Degree in Territory Development, Universidade do Minho-Portugal. Professor at Universidad de Santiago and Foreign Trade consultant in the area or Latin America including Brazil, Peru, Chile and Ecuador.

Master’s Degree in Foreign Trade, Escuela de Organización Industrial and Master’s Degree in Business Management, Ie. Experience in Managing and Controlling large projects, foreign markets and international marketing. Admission process

1. Documentation

To begin your admission process, the first thing to do is book your appointment online or by calling 91 740 72 72.

2.  What does the admissions test consist of?

When will you know you’ve been accepted?

You’ll find out the result of the admissions test via an admissions letter that you’ll receive by email. If you have any doubts or queries, you can contact our Admissions Department for New Students at ads@universidadeuropea.es

3. Reserve your place

Along with the admissions letter, you will receive an envelope with information about official registration. It is recommended that in order to reserve your place, you should respond within 7 days of receiving the letter.

4. Registration

All students joining the Universidad Europea for the first time, wanting to study a degree, must open a file with the university, prior to registration. The Department of Admission for New Students will provide the candidate with all the documentation and forms to complete their registration.

Convalidations and transfers

You don’t have to carry on doing something you don’t want to. For this reason, we have designed specific convalidation and university transfer plan. If you want to know your personalized plan, as quickly and easily as possible, send us an email to convalidaciones@universidadeuropea.es along with the following documentation:

  • Personal academic certificate of the original degree.
  • Study plan sealed by the Secretariat of the center of origin.
  • The academic program of the subjects studied and/or enrolled in the original degree.
  • Officially translated degree certificate (only in the case of foreign graduates)

In case of requesting recognition for professional experience, you will be required to provide;

  • Work life certificate
  • Curriculum vitae
  • Company certificate, only in those cases where it is necessary to prove the functions performed in the company, or in cases of students with international professional experience who cannot provide a work-life certificate.

Professional practices

Internships in companies are a key element in your education. Acquiring experience and putting into practice what you have learned on your degree is the best way to enter the labor market. There are two types of internship, curricular (which are included as part of your program) and extracurricular (which you can do on a voluntary basis).

In order to carry out an internship in a company, you’ll need to have passed 50% of your credits and register before you start the internship. Both the company and a professor on your course will monitor your progress on the internship as well as providing an evaluation at the half way mark and upon completion. 

If you want to gain extra work experience before finalizing your university studies, you are welcome to carry out extracurricular internships. You can carry them out in whichever year of your studies you choose but we remind you that internships are formative and should complement your studies. The more theoretical knowledge you have acquired throughout your degree, the more you will benefit from the internships.
