New candidate profile and degree access routes

  • Graduates in Psychology specializing in the health area, who have obtained 90 ECTS specifically in health training.  
  • To access the Master’s Degree in General Health Psychology it will be necessary to have a degree in Psychology, in accordance with the prior requirements of the additional seventh clause of Law 33/2011 of the 4th of October.
  • Certify a specific trajectory in the study of Psychology proving the completion of at least 90 ECTS specifically in health.

The admissions process for programs in the Postgraduate School at Universidad Europea is open all year round, although registration in any of the programs is dependent on the availability of places.

The Postgraduate Admissions team will contact you to complete access exams according to your desired program and a personal interview with the Director of the Master’s Degree or with a member on the Admissions Committee.

In the admissions process, should the applications be higher than the places offered, priority will be given to students using the following criteria:

During this process, order ECD/1070/2013 will be fulfilled, which will determine as an essential requirement, having studied 90 ECTS credits specifically in the field of health of the Degree in Psychology.

Dr. Enrique Chacón
After having developed his thesis in the field of applied clinical Psychology evaluation and working in several private clinics in Madrid, he set up his own practice. Leads the Module in Evaluation and Diagnosis of Health Psychology, in which he collaborates with his colleagues Guiomar López and Laura Roldán.

Dr. Gema Rubio
Professional of the SINEWS center, centers her professional activity mainly in the evaluation, diagnosis and treatment of adults and couples. Leads the Module in Health Psychology, in collaboration with Alberto Rodríguez Quiroga.

Ángeles Sanz
Over 40 years’ experience in Couples and Family Therapy, founder of one of the oldest and most prestigious psychological practices in Madrid, CINTECO, where she combines her clinical experience with training other professionals in public and private institutions nationally. Leads the Module in Psychological Intervention in Families and Couples.  

Esther Legorgeu
Leads the clinical psychology area of the Psychological Orientation Institute (EOS) made up of Piedad González Hurtado, Marta Casanovas Mendoza, Pilar Gómez Mir, Vanessa Fernández, Raquel Martín Alonso. EOS is one of the most prestigious publishing companies nationally in terms of the evaluation and treatment of children, as well as a reference center in child psychology attention and pedagogical advice to educational centers. Makes up the teaching team of the Module of Psychological Intervention of Children and Adolescents.

David Lobato
Director of Training of the Luria Group, a psychological center with over 35 years’ experience. This center has adapted to new social needs, such as online therapy, exploring new market niches, such as the provision of services to companies. Additionally, he combines his professional practice and experience with training new psychologists. Together with Marta Ortega, Loida Rueda, Lourdes Conde, Beatriz Vicente, he teaches the Module in Psychological Intervention in Adults.

Dr. Manuel Nevado
All his research and practical experience centers on attention to elderly, researching the prevention of falls in the elderly, developing vaccines for Alzheimer’s and improving the quality of life of people living in institutions. Additionally, leads the Module in Psychological Intervention of the Elderly together with Miguel Ángel Maroto who provides all the organization and management required of elderly institutionalized patients. Both are specialized in elderly care. They are part of the group of professionals of the Day Centers Ahora, highly regarded centers in neuro-cognitive rehabilitation.

Finally, the group of professionals of Nexo Psicología is represented by Esperanza López and Pilar Escudero, both with over 20 years’ of clinical experience, combined with teaching and training professionals in different areas. Esperanza is co-author of the book “Lo que nos pasa por dentro” together with Eduardo Punset. Both teach the Module in Training Skills in Health Psychology.

1. Documentation

3. Reserve your place

Along with the admissions letter, you will receive an envelope with information about official registration. It is recommended that in order to reserve your place, you should respond within 7 days of receiving the letter.

4. Registration

All students joining the Universidad Europea for the first time, wanting to study a degree, must open a file with the university, prior to registration. The Department of Admission for New Students will provide the candidate with all the documentation and forms to complete their registration.

Convalidations and transfers

You don’t have to carry on doing something you don’t want to. For this reason, we have designed specific convalidation and university transfer plan. If you want to know your personalized plan, as quickly and easily as possible, send us an email to along with the following documentation:

  • Study plan sealed by the Secretariat of the center of origin.
  • The academic program of the subjects studied and/or enrolled in the original degree.

Professional practices

Internships in companies are a key element in your education. Acquiring experience and putting into practice what you have learned on your degree is the best way to enter the labor market. There are two types of internship, curricular (which are included as part of your program) and extracurricular (which you can do on a voluntary basis).

In order to carry out an internship in a company, you’ll need to have passed 50% of your credits and register before you start the internship. Both the company and a professor on your course will monitor your progress on the internship as well as providing an evaluation at the half way mark and upon completion. 

If you want to gain extra work experience before finalizing your university studies, you are welcome to carry out extracurricular internships. You can carry them out in whichever year of your studies you choose but we remind you that internships are formative and should complement your studies. The more theoretical knowledge you have acquired throughout your degree, the more you will benefit from the internships.
