In Madrid we have two campuses (Villaviciosa de Odón and Alcobendas), another campus in Valencia and another one in the Canary Islands. In total, we have 25 hectares with the best facilities: 3 university clinics, laboratories for all the scientific degrees, multimedia language center, sports complexes and student halls of residence.

In addition, there are work spaces available, tutorial classrooms and areas for group work in all our buildings, as well as within the library, that are available to students and teachers.

In the case of students on the Master’s Degree in Civil Engineering, they will have at their disposal the laboratories for geotechniques and materials, hydrology and hydraulics, the digital manufacturing laboratory or the wind tunnel. They will also have access to the MyLABs tool, a platform allowing them to group together necessary software for the development of their degree, available at all times and accessible anywhere.

Upon completion of the program, the student will be awarded the official Master’s Degree in Civil Engineering, issued by Universidad Europea de Madrid.

Doctor in Civil Engineering. Graduate in Social and Cultural Anthropology. Wide ranging research experience and over 8 years of teaching experience.

Dr. Oliva González González
Doctor in Civil Engineering and EXECUTIVE MBA, IE Business School. For over 22 years has worked in transport, concessions and company consulting and currently completes trainings through MyO Company. Mentor for entrepreneurs with technological bases in Madrid and of young entrepreneurs at YUZZ.

Dr. Raúl Rodríguez Escribano.
Doctor in Civil Engineering. Director of the Division of Project Control, Pathology and Rehabilitation of the Instituto Técnico de Materiales y Construcciones (INTEMAC). Over 20 years’ professional experience in the field of pathology and rehabilitation and in structural consultancy work and over 11 years of teaching experience.

Dr. María Olga Bernaldo Pérez.
Graduate in Geological Sciences and Master’s Degree in Renewable Energy. Wide range of professional experience in instrumentation building and infrastructure companies. Has been responsible for the department of Instrumentation and Sounding at EPTISA and Director of the company Mekano Instrumentación. Over 9 years of professional experience and over 15 years of teaching experience.

Dr. Samir Awad
Doctor in Civil Engineering, specialist in transport. Professional experience in consulting at LCA Consultoría de Infraestructuras, S.L., in research at the Center for Transport Research at UPM, Transyty. Since 2015, founding partner of Hécate Ingeniería S.L. Has collaborated in the organization of the European Transport Conference 2015 and was a reviewer on the scientific committees in the conferences Scieconf2015 and EIIC2015.

Rafael Cortés Navarro.
Civil Engineer and MBA, Chamber of Commerce, Industry and Sailing of Seville. Over 15 years’ experience in the field of Planning and Development of Transport, both in the consulting and operations areas, acting as Project Manager, Head of Development and Currently, Head of Operations. Wide range of teaching experience in the field of Transport, as well as in the Direction of High Performing Equipment, with more than 10 years’ experience as the head of training programs at Universidad de Granada, Universidad Europea and several Business Schools.  

José Ramírez Montoto.
Civil Engineer and Master’s Degree in Renewable Energy. Head of Planning of the Subdirection of Planning and Municipal Coordination, Canal de Isabel II. Over 12 years’ professional experience in the field of infrastructure and usage planning and provision and rehabilitation. Over 11 years’ teaching experience.

Íñigo Sanz-Llanos Farias.
Civil Engineer. Over 10 years as Head of Studies and Civil Construction Contracts Director (nationally and internationally) in construction companies, supervising and coordinating all kinds of construction work with budgets of up to 300 million Euros. Over 15 years’ teaching experience in the field of roads, project organization and construction work as well as Mathematics.  

Pablo Lorenzo Jiménez Vallejo.
Civil Engineer. Construction work coordinator, ADIF. Over 10 years professional experience in infrastructure and rail systems management and over 6 years’ teaching experience.  

Juan Carlos Guerra Torralbo.
Technical Public Works Engineer. Civil Engineer and Master’s Degree in Soil Mechanics and Foundations, CEDEX, Spanish Ministry of Public Works. Over 25 years’ professional experience in Project and Technical Assistance of Underground Works as it relates to Terrain Mechanics and Engineering. Head of Projects in the Area of Geotech of the Technical Direction of Ferrovial. Author or coauthor of 12 chapters in books, 11 technical articles, numerous publications presented at Conferences, Courses and Seminars. Participation in 2 research and scientific production projects at a national level. Member of the technical associations: SEMSIG, SEMR, ISMR, AEGAIN and AETOS. Over 11 years’ university teaching experience teaching subjects relating to terrain Engineering (Soil Mechanics and Rocks, Geotech, Foundations and Tunnels).

David Aramburu Landeras.
Civil Engineer. Over 12 years’ work experience in the field of Planning and Hydric Resources, Hydraulic and Hydrological Works as Project Manager. It is worth mentioning his studies and projects on River Engineering and River Basin Management in the European Directive on the River Basin Authorities of the North, the Ebro and the Mediterranean and Andalusian Basins. Research experience in the design of dams with lateral spillways with PROFIT and ETSICCP. Over 6 years’ teaching experience.

Antonio Ramírez Montoto.
Civil Engineer and Head of the Division for Sustained Reductions in Water use of Canal de Isabel II. Professional experience of over 15 years as head of various techniques relating to planning, exploration and management of hydraulic infrastructure. Teaching experience in subjects relating to water engineering of over 12 years.

Carlos Castañón Jiménez
Civil Engineer, Universidad Politécnica de Madrid. Since 2015, Director of Structures in the Area of Architecture and Construction at IDOM. Has completed projects in the structure of bridges, walkways and especially, of unique buildings, amongst which it is worth mentioning the Spanish Pavilion during the 2010 Expo in Shanghai. Has worked extensively on the construction of high buildings, such as the Tower of the New Marina in Casablanca, the Torre Única de Telecomunicaciones in Buenos Aires or Torre Espacio in Madrid.

Cosimo Iasiello
is a Doctor in Civil Engineering, Universidad Politécnica de Madrid. He has far-ranging experience in geotechnical and structural projects. He is an expert in tunnel design and buried structural elements, in particular singular foundations and terrain treatment. He has worked both for contractors and in consulting in Spain, Italy, Portugal, the UK, Africa, the Middle East and America. Has authored various publications in indexed journals, is secretary of the Interaction of Soil Structure Group at ACHE and represents the Spanish Society of Soil Mechanics and Geotechnical Engineering in international group evaluations of euro codes 7 and 8.

1. Documentation

To begin your admission process, the first thing to do is book your appointment online or by calling 91 740 72 72.

When will you know you’ve been accepted?

3. Reserve your place

Along with the admissions letter, you will receive an envelope with information about official registration. It is recommended that in order to reserve your place, you should respond within 7 days of receiving the letter.

4. Registration

All students joining the Universidad Europea for the first time, wanting to study a degree, must open a file with the university, prior to registration. The Department of Admission for New Students will provide the candidate with all the documentation and forms to complete their registration.

Convalidations and transfers

You don’t have to carry on doing something you don’t want to. For this reason, we have designed specific convalidation and university transfer plan. If you want to know your personalized plan, as quickly and easily as possible, send us an email to convalidaciones@universidadeuropea.es along with the following documentation:

  • Personal academic certificate of the original degree.
  • Study plan sealed by the Secretariat of the center of origin.
  • The academic program of the subjects studied and/or enrolled in the original degree.
  • Officially translated degree certificate (only in the case of foreign graduates)

In case of requesting recognition for professional experience, you will be required to provide;

  • Work life certificate
  • Curriculum vitae
  • Company certificate, only in those cases where it is necessary to prove the functions performed in the company, or in cases of students with international professional experience who cannot provide a work-life certificate.

Professional practices

Internships in companies are a key element in your education. Acquiring experience and putting into practice what you have learned on your degree is the best way to enter the labor market. There are two types of internship, curricular (which are included as part of your program) and extracurricular (which you can do on a voluntary basis).

In order to carry out an internship in a company, you’ll need to have passed 50% of your credits and register before you start the internship. Both the company and a professor on your course will monitor your progress on the internship as well as providing an evaluation at the half way mark and upon completion. 

If you want to gain extra work experience before finalizing your university studies, you are welcome to carry out extracurricular internships. You can carry them out in whichever year of your studies you choose but we remind you that internships are formative and should complement your studies. The more theoretical knowledge you have acquired throughout your degree, the more you will benefit from the internships.
