The admissions process for programs in the Postgraduate School at Universidad Europea is open all year round, although registration in any of the programs is dependent on the availability of places.

For the Master’s Degree in Architecture, students will have available to them the Robotics workshops and the FabLab (Fabrication Laboratory) or the Digital Manufacturing Laboratory so that upon entering the professional market, students are familiar with the latest technology of the profession.

José Jurado
Doctor in Architecture, Universidad Politécnica de Madrid. Director of the Hospital Infanta Leonor Project (Vallecas, Madrid, 2007). 1st Prize in the SEPES Competition (1995). Associate Professor at UEM since 2003. Specializing in conferences, books and subject-specific articles on systems and types of construction (Tectonics, Live Architecture, ACHE) as well as the academic implementation of the BIM methodology (EUBIM, BAF, 3DIJM).


Juan José Mateos
Architect, directs aybar.mateos.arquitectos together with Camila Aybar. Both are architects qualified at ETSAM, Bartlett School, and the University of Columbia, respectively. DEA ETSAM 2010 researcher and professor of Projects since 2002. His most recent recognitions include: the European Prize Ugo Rivolta 2015, COAM Prize 2012, COAM Prize 2011, Finalist in Hyspalit Prize 2012, Asprima Prize 2012.

Carlos Arroyo
Linguist (IoLET London 1990) arquitect and urban planner (ETSAM 1997) and researcher (ETSAM PhD 2018). Carlos Arroyo Architects, his architecture and urban planning firm in Madrid, has built projects in Spain, Belgium, France, Germany and Rwanda, with a strong emphasis on innovation and sustainability. Is a member of the European Scientific Committee EUROPAN since 2004, helping dozens of European cities to define their future strategy.

Adolfo Nadal
Architect, ETSAM, MsAAD and AAR, Columbia University (2011), and extraordinary Doctoral prize for his thesis "Beyond Rapid Prototyping: automation of robotic 3D printing for construction" (2017). He is a founding partner of Archiologics and a Europe Digital Skill Leader in ARUP. Director of the Master’s Degree in Design and Digital Manufacturing at UE; Lead researcher in the group "Informed Matter Lab" at UE. Collaborates at IE University, URJC, UPM among others.

Victoria Acebo
Architect. Her works have been shown at MoMa in New York. National Youth Architecture Prize of the IX BEAU, FAD Interiors Prize 2017, COAM Prize 2018, Architecture Prize, 6th Edition, Observatorio D’Achtall, Veteco-Asefave Prize 2008, Outreach Prize of the XIII BEAU and nominated three times for the Mies van der Rohe Award.

Uriel Fogué
Doctor in Architecture, UPM (extraordinary prize 2014-15; finalist X Bienal Iberoamericana de Arquitectura y Urbanismo, 2016). Professor, UEM. Co-directs the architecture firm elii, which was part of the Spanish pavilion at the XV Biennial of Architecture in Venice (Golden Lion 2016), works nominated for the Mies Van Der Rohe Award (2019 and 2015), FAD Opinion Prize 2005 and finalist 2017, many COAM prizes. Co-directs the Crisis Cabinet of Political Fiction.

Víctor Navarro
Doctor in Architecture, ETSAM, professor of projects, UEM and at the Graduate School of Design in Harvard in 2015. Since 2005 co-directs alongside Maria Langarita, the architecture firm Langarita-Navarro. His work has been recognized with the special mention Prize Mies van der Rohe 2013, the XII Spanish Biennial on Architecture and Urban Planning Prize, the FAD Prize 2012, AR+D Award for Emerging Architecture 2012 or the COAM Prize 2013.

Liliana Obal
Architect, FADU, Univ Buenos Aires, 1983. Professor of Projects at FADU, since 2004 professor of Theory and History of Architecture, UE. Since 2010 collaborates with the magazine El Croquis. National Architecture Prize 2006 (private housing), Urban Planning, Architecture and Public Work prizes of the City of Madrid (XVII/2002 and XXI/2006), COAM (2003 and 2008), among others. Participating in the VII and IX editions of BEAU and Finalist in the FAD Prizes (2007 and 2012).  

Santiago Becerra
Architect, Master’s Degree in Advanced Architectural Projects, ETSAM, specialized in Theory and Critique. Founded the studio Mute Arquitectura in 2007, whose work has been recognized in numerous international competitions. Develops his work as a teacher at UEM as professor of the Department of Technology since 2009.  

Beatriz Ingles
Doctor in Architecture, specializing in sustainable architecture. Graduate of Escuela Técnica Superior de Arquitectura de Madrid (ETSAM). Partner of the architecture studio, WEA architects. Through several sustainable design projects which have been recognized, she has developed a top reputation nationally and internationally.  

Xavier Aguiló
Master’s Degree in Industrial Engineering 1999, started collaborating with BOMA Barcelona as a structural consultant (partner since 2001), joined the Madrid office in September 2007 and the London office in 2018 in partnership with evolve. In 2015 was awarded the Deputy Management of the General Directorate for Edifications of BAC (previously BOMA) and since 2018 is the UK Manager for BAC. Currently is professor of structures at UE and at the Architectural Association in London.

Jose Agullo de Rueda
Architect, ETSAM. Dedicated to edification structures from teaching (UEM, 2005) and professionally (GV408, 1999). Is specialized in BIM in structures, collaborating with COAM, Master structures ETSAM, Master UPM-Fundació CIM, AvatarBIM, WiseBuild, etc.. Coordinator of the Grupo 8 of ACHE for the workshop on BIM in the Project phase. BIM Courses in Peru (UPCA) and Finland (Aalto University).

Pablo Gil Martínez
Doctor in Architecture, Bartlett School UCL in 2015, professor of Architecture, Universidad Europea de Madrid and Studio Director of GilBartolome ADW focusing on airport, museum and single family home projects. Previously was a professor at Instituto Empresa Madrid and London Metropolitan University, and worked for David Chipperfield Architects and Richard Rogers Partnership.

Diego G. Cuevas
Architect and Master’s Degree in Biodigital Architecture, Universidad Internacional de Cataluña. Authorized Rhinocerous Instructor (A.R.T.). Specialist in parametric design and digital manufacturing. Co-director of Controlmad Advanced Design Center and the interiors studio Espacio Gauss. Professor and coordinator of the subject Architectural Geometry, UEM. Has taught classes and parametric design workshops at various Spanish universities.

  • Innovation: intensive training and use of Digital Design, Digital Manufacturing in the Fab Lab and robotics as a new paradigm for production and thinking. The interactive and evolutionary possibilities of simulations made with parametric design, BIM, energy simulation, together with the benefits of prototyping which can be completed using laser cutters, 3D printers or robots, encourage collaboration in areas of learning and at the same time foster the emergence of new architectural thinking.

Career opportunities

Upon completion of the Master’s Degree, the student is prepared to fulfil the following roles within the field of Architecture:

  • Architect / Project Manager: working as a professional with their own studio or at another studio, in charge of architectural design and its technical and documentary design.  
  • Consultancy and collaborations in multidisciplinary teams of architecture, technology, management, engineering, design and urban planning.
  • Active in architecture competitions, rehabilitation, architecture research, curating exhibits and teaching, among others.
  • Enter the American market with the NAAB certification.

1. Documentation

To begin your admission process, the first thing to do is book your appointment online or by calling 91 740 72 72.

2.  What does the admissions test consist of?

When will you know you’ve been accepted?

3. Reserve your place

Along with the admissions letter, you will receive an envelope with information about official registration. It is recommended that in order to reserve your place, you should respond within 7 days of receiving the letter.

4. Registration

All students joining the Universidad Europea for the first time, wanting to study a degree, must open a file with the university, prior to registration. The Department of Admission for New Students will provide the candidate with all the documentation and forms to complete their registration.

Convalidations and transfers

You don’t have to carry on doing something you don’t want to. For this reason, we have designed specific convalidation and university transfer plan. If you want to know your personalized plan, as quickly and easily as possible, send us an email to along with the following documentation:

  • Personal academic certificate of the original degree.
  • Study plan sealed by the Secretariat of the center of origin.
  • The academic program of the subjects studied and/or enrolled in the original degree.
  • Officially translated degree certificate (only in the case of foreign graduates)

In case of requesting recognition for professional experience, you will be required to provide;

  • Work life certificate
  • Curriculum vitae
  • Company certificate, only in those cases where it is necessary to prove the functions performed in the company, or in cases of students with international professional experience who cannot provide a work-life certificate.

Professional practices

Internships in companies are a key element in your education. Acquiring experience and putting into practice what you have learned on your degree is the best way to enter the labor market. There are two types of internship, curricular (which are included as part of your program) and extracurricular (which you can do on a voluntary basis).

In order to carry out an internship in a company, you’ll need to have passed 50% of your credits and register before you start the internship. Both the company and a professor on your course will monitor your progress on the internship as well as providing an evaluation at the half way mark and upon completion. 

If you want to gain extra work experience before finalizing your university studies, you are welcome to carry out extracurricular internships. You can carry them out in whichever year of your studies you choose but we remind you that internships are formative and should complement your studies. The more theoretical knowledge you have acquired throughout your degree, the more you will benefit from the internships.
