New candidate profile and degree access routes

Among the prior information offered to students interested in the degree is the recommended candidate profile, which serves as a guide. This profile is made up of the following information:  

  • This degree is ideal for those students interested in Mathematics, IT, computers and technology in general. 
  • Students must have a good basis of Mathematics, as well as oral and written communication skills of Higher Training Cycles or Baccalaureate.  
  • Students should have a solid knowledge of computer usage and new technologies. 
  • During the degree they will develop their analytical, synthesis, planning and reasoning skills. They will also deepen their initiative, leadership and teamwork skills for problem solving and developing practical projects.  
  • They should be interested in taking on innovation challenges and be prepared to continuously train throughout their professional career. 

Access Requirements  

The following students will be able to access the degree studies in accordance with the access requirements established in Royal Decree 1892/2008 of the 14th of November and applicable legislation in force, specifically: 

  • Obtain the qualification of “pass” in the University Access Exams, in accordance with current legislation. 
  • Obtain the qualification of “pass” in Access Exams for students over 25 and 45 years of age. 
  • Higher Technical Degrees, Higher Technical Degrees in Fine Arts and Design and Higher Technical Degrees in Sport. 
  • Graduates, Technical Engineers, Architects or Graduates. 
  • Baccalaureate students from educational systems within the European Union and other countries who have reached international agreements with Spain may access the Degree as long as their educational system allows access to University. 
  • Students from other countries that do not have an international agreement with Spain in place must first have their studies officially recognized and complete the university access exams. 

Those over the age of 40 may also access the Degree if, despite not having a degree allowing access to university, can prove employment or professional experience that is relevant to the degree to which they wish to apply. 

In order to prove one’s professional and employment experience, the student must add a portfolio to their application, including the following information: 

  • Cover letter explaining your motivation 
  • Work experience
  • Curriculum Vitae
  • Documentary proof (letters of recommendation, degrees of training courses or any other experience which may be related to the degree you are applying for)
  • Languages

The procedure established by the University for access through this channel is as follows: 

  • The student will request the Admissions department, access to the Degree accompanying the application with their portfolio. 
  • The application is sent to the head of the degree, who will review the evidence in the portfolio and whether it relates to the degree and will proceed to interview the candidate in order to evaluate their skills and how they relate to academic success in the degree applied for, as well as to identify any specific training needs. 
  • The University can establish a specific test that includes all the minimum skills in order to study the degree. 
  • All students admitted following the process, receive a letter from the University, indicating their admission to the Degree for which they have completed and passed the admission tests. 

Admissions Process

The admissions process to study some of the Degrees at Universidad Europea follows a simple process that basically consists of filing certain specific documents, completing an admissions test and is completed with the official registration of the student.

The Degree has facilities with the latest technological advances, a necessary complement for the student accessing a truly practical training. The specific laboratories for this degree are specialized in the following areas: Physics, Chemistry, Electrical, Electronic and Communications Engineering, Robotics, Automation, Non-destructive designs, materials trials, Thermal and Fluids Engineering and Engines. Additionally, students have at their disposal a mechanics workshop and the FabLab (the digital Manufacturing Lab) with 3D printers, which has put Universidad Europea at the forefront of current technology available in this sector.


If you are coming from outside of the Region of Madrid and would like to undertake the on-site full-time program, you can find accommodation in line with your needs: near to campus, safe, comfortable, in an academic setting, with good services, quality furnishings, etc. Thanks to the two student halls that Universidad Europea has, both located on campus and with capacity for 550 people, with all domestic, academic and safety needs ideally suited to a student.

1. Documentation

3. Reserve your place

Along with the admissions letter, you will receive an envelope with information about official registration. It is recommended that in order to reserve your place, you should respond within 7 days of receiving the letter.

4. Registration

All students joining the Universidad Europea for the first time, wanting to study a degree, must open a file with the university, prior to registration. The Department of Admission for New Students will provide the candidate with all the documentation and forms to complete their registration.

Convalidations and transfers

You don’t have to carry on doing something you don’t want to. For this reason, we have designed specific convalidation and university transfer plan. If you want to know your personalized plan, as quickly and easily as possible, send us an email to along with the following documentation:

Professional practices

Internships in companies are a key element in your education. Acquiring experience and putting into practice what you have learned on your degree is the best way to enter the labor market. There are two types of internship, curricular (which are included as part of your program) and extracurricular (which you can do on a voluntary basis).

In order to carry out an internship in a company, you’ll need to have passed 50% of your credits and register before you start the internship. Both the company and a professor on your course will monitor your progress on the internship as well as providing an evaluation at the half way mark and upon completion. 

If you want to gain extra work experience before finalizing your university studies, you are welcome to carry out extracurricular internships. You can carry them out in whichever year of your studies you choose but we remind you that internships are formative and should complement your studies. The more theoretical knowledge you have acquired throughout your degree, the more you will benefit from the internships.
