The following students will be able to access the degree studies in accordance with the access requirements established in Royal Decree 1892/2008 of the 14th of November and applicable legislation in force, specifically:
Those over the age of 40 may also access the Degree if, despite not having a degree allowing access to university, can prove employment or professional experience that is relevant to the degree to which they wish to apply.
Amongst the prior information offered to students interested in this degree is the recommended access profile, serving as a guide to join these university studies.
The admissions process to study some of the Degrees at Universidad Europea follows a simple process that basically consists of filing certain specific documents, completing an admissions test and is completed with the official registration of the student.

Mercedes Agüero Pérez
Doctor in Communications, Universidad Europea de Madrid, Master’s Degree in Business Management, UNED and a Graduate of Information Sciences (specializing in Advertising and Public Relations), UCM. Her professional activity has developed in different advertising agencies where she has worked as an account executive and head of accounts, as well as working for strategy consultancies and managing large clients. She is currently Vice Dean of Marketing and Communications in the Faculty of Social Sciences and Communications and a professor of subjects such as “Corporate Communications” in the Degree in Advertising; and “Management of Risks and Reputation on social networks” on the Master’s Degree in Digital Journalism and Social Networks and in the Master’s Degree in Communications Management. Has been a visiting professor at Università degli studi di Milano (Italy). Her main research area regards corporate reputation, identity and image on social networks.
Sergio Baltasar Lallave (Zape)
Doctor in Communications, Universidad Rey Juan Carlos, Graduate in Advertising, Universidad Antonio de Nebrija and Master’s Degree in Cinema, Television and Interactive Media, URJC.
Has worked for over 15 years as a creative director in agencies such as Contrapunto, McCann-Erickson, Grey, The Farm and Labstore Y&R developing campaigns for clients such as Coca-Cola, Procter & Gamble, Diageo and Movistar among others. As well as having shot over 35 advertising spots, he has won several advertising prizes nationally and internationally (including the Sol de Bronce, FIAP 2015) and has been awarded the Vicente Aleixandre prize for short story.
Currently is part of the creation department for The Good Rebels, teaches the Workshop on Innovation, Advertising Writing, Creation and Innovation at UEM and is studying towards his doctorate in new forms of advertising narration.
Doctoral student in Communications, UCM. Master’s Degree in Communication of Organizations, UCM. Graduate in Business Management and Law, ICADE, E-3. Founder of Speak & Span, a Company training in skills for public speaking. Prior to setting up Speak & Span, Javier was CEO of MediaCom España, one of the largest advertising planning agencies in the world, part of the WPP group. He was previously General Manager of Mediaedgecia, a media agency of the same group. His professional experience in marketing and communications has spanned since 1988, companies such as Procter & Gamble, British American Tobacco, and Buongiorno. Professor at UEM of “Consumer Behavior” and “Planning Advertising Media”. Associate Professor of “Communication Skills” at Instituto de Empresa. Has published the book “Alto y Claro, los diez principios para hablar en público con seguridad, mensaje y entusiasmo”, with LID Editorial.
Javier Díez Medrano
Doctor in Information Sciences (UCM) and Director of the Master’s Degree in Communication Management at Universidad Europea. Has developed his professional activity as an executive and strategic planner at Publicis, SSC&B Lintas and Ogilvy & Mather and has spent 20 years as a founding consultant at JD Comunicación. Is currently Professor of Event Management and Business Protocol, Product & Brand Management, Persuasive Communication and Account Management. Has completed various teaching exchanges at Adelphi University of NYC, Escuela Internacional de Protocolo, École Supérieure de Commerce Extérieur in their campuses at ESCE Paris and Lyon (France) and at DHBW Villingen Schwenningen (Germany).
Ángel Fernández Fernández
Doctor in Communication, UEM. Graduate in Fine Arts, UCM. Master’s Degree in Digital Journalism and Social Networks, UEM and Master’s Degree in the Development of Internet Applications, CICE-UPM. Has developed his professional career as a multimedia designer completing work for clients such as Fiat, Alfa Romeo, New Holland and El Mundo among others. Since 2005 is a professor of various subjects relating to graphic design and multimedia and aesthetics and digital culture. His line of research relates to interactivity, the visualization of information and the cultural impact of new technology. He has completed a research exchange lasting three months at Santa Fe University of Art and Design, USA.
Doctor in Fine Arts with European Specialization (Universidad Complutense de Madrid). His professional work has been dedicated to news media, to special events and breaking news in the main international news outlets (BBC, RAI, CNN, France1, CANAL+France, Al Jazeera Sport...). He has covered large crises, natural disasters, World Cups, Champions Leagues, presidential elections. Has lived in various European countries and developed his profession in over 20 diverse nations. Has been a visiting professor at l´Università degli Studi di Torino (Italy), Universität der Künste Berlin (Germany), Faculdade de Belas Artes de Lisboa (Portugal) and has completed various research exchanges at Università di Bologna (Italy). Is currently an associate professor at Universidad Europea de Madrid, with his specialist area being photography, image construction and contemporary art. His main research area covers visual poetry, non-verbal language construction and premeditated processes for creating visual arts.
Luis Antonio López Fraile
Doctor in Communications, Universidad Europea de Madrid, Graduate in Political Sciences and Sociology, Universidad Complutense de Madrid (specializing in Socio-Employment and Consumer Behavior) and Master’s Degree in Human Resources Management and Organization, ESIC. His professional activity in the business world has been linked to advertising and marketing, at agencies such as Matriz (creative), Publitext (creative), MacCann (planner), Saathi & Saatchi (planner), or WYSIWYG (planner and deputy general manager). At Universidad Europea de Madrid he has led the Careers Service from 2005 to 2007 and been the Director of the Area of Corporate Communications in the Faculty of Communications (from 2007 to 2009) He is a professor at Universidad Europea de Madrid since 2000, where he teaches the subjects in “Product and Brand Management”, “Integrating Strategies”, “Laboratory for Advertising Strategy”, “Advertising Strategies” and “Client Services Management”, among others. He is currently Coordinator of Professional Internships in the area of Communications of the Faculty of Social Sciences and Communications (for the degrees in Audiovisual Communications, Advertising, Journalism, International Relations, Protocol and Event Organization). Has been a visiting professor at Università degli studi di Bergamo (Italy) in its Advanced Program in Business Communications.
José Jesús Vargas Delgado
Head Professor in Creativity and Persuasive Communication in the Department of Marketing and Advertising, Faculty of Social Sciences, Universidad Europea de Madrid (2014). Dean of the Universidad Europea de Canarias (UEC). Director of the Department of Advertising and Content and Director of the Department of Corporate Communications at UEM (2002-2012). Qualified Doctor in Creative Graphic Advertising. His research area centers on linking new alternative techniques like masters in meditation, based on relaxation and conscience (meditation and mindfulness) as well as stimulation and encouraging creativity and personal and professional evolution of the individual.
Begoña Moreno López
Doctor in Advertising Universidad de Valladolid and Graduate in Advertising and Public Relations, Universidad Complutense de Madrid. Has developed her professional activity as Art Director in advertising agencies such as McCann-Erickson, Delvico Bates or 210. Currently directs the El Cencerro Rural Ad Festival, the first rural advertising festival and is a professor of Creative Thinking, Workshops on Creative Techniques and Workshops on Integrated Creations. Has completed teaching exchanges at The National College of Arts (Dublin), the University of Staffordshire (United Kingdom), Hogeschoole van Amsterdam (the Netherlands) and Hogeschole van Maastricht (the Netherlands).
Javier Pérez Expósito.
Doctor in Communications (UEM), Graduate in Advertising and Public Relations, UCM and Master’s Degree in Business Administration (IEDE) and expert in CRM and digital and interactive marketing (ICEMD-ESIC). Has developed his professional activity in marketing departments at companies such as Multiópticas or Laureate and in advertising agencies specializing in CRM and direct marketing as a strategic planner. Currently teaches Advertising and Marketing Strategy, is Coordinator of PFG in the Advertising area and responsible for the Advertising laboratory of the Faculty. Has developed professional projects in Portugal and Morocco, as well as teaching and research exchanges at Florida State University (USA).
Esmeralda López Alonso
Doctor in Communications, Universidad Rey Juan Carlos. Graduate in Advertising and Public Relations (UEM). Master’s Degree in Business Management. Has developed her professional activity as director of different business associations and works as a communications consultant managing communications projects financed by the European Union. Since 2001 is professor of various subjects relating to her work such as corporate communications and strategic management of public relations.
Alejandro Morales Gómez (Jano)
Graduate in Business Management, Universidad Carlos III de Madrid. Graduate in Law, Universidad Carlos III de Madrid.
Has developed his professional activity in different agencies, audiovisual production companies and design and postproduction studios such as Face to Face, Flying Data and Brother´s Films. Worked as a creative, art director and production assistant at the audiovisual production Company Brother’s Films during 10 years completing advertising spots and corporate videos for clients such as Coca Cola, Cepsa, BBVA, Campofrio, Loreal and AECC.
Currently is Creative Director and Founder of Micuit Clothing, a men’s clothing Company, Art Director and founder of Graphic Communication Studio Bureaucrazy Studio with clients such as Photoespaña, Atresmedia, La Sexta, Caja Madrid, Inditex and Abbot; Promotor of the artistic project “Proyecto Colectivo” and the social initiative “A un Corto de Distancia” and Art Director of the architecture study Azootea.
Professor at UEM since 2008, he teaches classes in Advertising Postproduction, E-trading, Creation and Innovation and Digital and Interactive Strategy. Professor on the Master’s Degree in Digital Journalism and Social Networks teaching the subject E-Commerce.
Victor J. Ruiz Oliveras
Graduate in Advertising and Public Relations, Universidad Complutense de Madrid. Doctoral courses in the department of Journalism I, UCM. Doctoral student in persuasive communications in the media. Professor at Universidad Europea de Madrid since 1996-1997. Entrepreneurial vision: Founder of the following companies: Advertising Agency Deley Publicidad, (CEO, Creative Director and Production Director). Rodrigo Mesonero Izquierdo
Doctor in Communication with a Specialty in Europe, UEM. Has developed his career as a journalist in media outlets such as Paramount Comedy Channel or ABC newspaper. Has also worked as a screenwriter for the production companies Globomedia (Aída, 7Vidas) and Miramón Mendi (A ver si llego). Has worked in different fiction and entertainment programs for the production companies Videomedia and Cuarzo. Currently combines the development of independent audiovisual projects with teaching at Universidad Europea where he teaches classes in screenwriting, production, and television production. Director of the Master’s Degree in Digital Journalism and Social Networks. Has participated in the international screenwriting workshop SOURCES2 (2011), organized by the program MEDIA of the European Union, with the feature film The Explainer. Completed a three-month research exchange at the University of Malmo where he researched transmedia narratives. Has also been a visiting professor in Maastricht and Nicosia.
Javier Pérez Sánchez
Doctor in Communication (UEM). Graduate in Audiovisual Communication. Licensed by CAP, Universidad de Alcalá de Henares. His prior teaching experience includes working as a professor of training courses on Camera Operation, editing in Avid and After Effects, professor of UAX in Engineering and Telecommunications. Additionally, has developed different positions in media outlets: producer on Sportmania (Canal+), Antena 3 Televisión and in FOX International Channels. Director of Sports on regional television and CEO of the Group V.E. Producciones. Currently professor at Universidad Europea Madrid and Director of Europea TV.
Juan Luis Moreno-Baquerizo Balsera
Doctor in Fine Arts, Universidad Complutense de Madrid. Professor at UEM since 1997. Has participated in several art exhibits for Arte Público (Coslart, Coslada Madrid. Festival de Arte en la Calle, Alcorcón. Madrid) and in several art shows (Circuitos, Comunidad de Madrid. Generación 2000. Ex, Universidad Complutense. Infomanías Ninfografías, Ayto de Madrid). Has participated in research projects for BADACAM (Didactic tool for the multilingual development of terminology in the audiovisual communication field, financed by Universidad Europea de Madrid), Communication and Digital Culture and Photography in the Spanish Transition. Combines his teaching work since 1992 with professional activities. His main lines of research center on the construction of the artificial gaze at the start of the third millennium and the critical approximation of banks of photographic images as well as the study of applications of digital technology in photography.
Fernando José Ávila Bercial
Doctoral student in Communication in the Faculty of Social Sciences and Communications, UEM. Master’s Degree in Digital Journalism and Social Networks. Professor of Audiovisual Communications. Has worked for 15 years in different national and international television stations, having worked as a news producer for 3 years at Televisa. During these years he also worked on the most important social and political events: Peace Summits, Elections, Natural Disasters, Political Crises, etc. Special correspondent for over 10 years, covering conflicts in Somalia, Yugoslavia, Rwanda, Kenya, Zaire or Russia, among others. As special correspondent has interviewed Yasser Arafat, Fidel Castro, Simon Peres, George Bush, Bill Clinton, Mijail Gorbachov, Vladimir Putin, Jacques Chirac or Kofi Annan, among others. Has covered important sporting events such as Olympics, World Cups or Champions Leagues. Editor of several documentaries and news reports. Has directed two Master’s Degrees: Master’s Degree in Documentary Production, Reporting and new types of Audiovisual Multiplatforms, UEM // Master’s Degree in International Photography, UEM-Santa Fe University of Arts and Design. Professor on the Master’s Degree in Communications and Sports Journalism, Real Madrid Graduate School. Professor on the Master’s Degree in Motion Graphics- Prisa TV, Universidad Europea de Madrid. Awarded the Antena de Oro for Spanish News Correspondent for the documentary "El camino de Santiago". Televisa.
José Sánchez Sanz
Doctor in Audiovisual Communication and higher degree in Composition, Harmony and Instrumentation and Orchestra Direction. Has worked in the musical composition environment for audiovisual media in all its fields; cinema (La Pantalla Herida, Faraday, The Symmetry of Love, 15M. Excelente, revulsivo, importante, H6 diario de un asesino, Hobby, Entre Abril y Julio, Menos que cero), advertising (Ministerio de Sanidad, Telepizza, Chapas PSP, Itinere, el valor de las infraestructuras) and Television (Durban, Smart City, Inside Coca Cola, El Mundo en dos ciudades, Especial The Walking Dead, Protegiendo los océanos, Eva y Kolegas) receiving 11 awards for his work. Has also dedicated himself to creating orchestral arrangements for albums including Cardiopatía Severa for the band Ellos, as well as the accompaniment on keyboards for different bands and soloists (El Hijo, Ellos, Mirafiori, Anthony Reynolds). Has collaborated in different Master’s Degrees at Universidad Complutense de Madrid, Universidad de Alcalá de Henares and Universidad Carlos III as a specialist in music for audiovisual mediums. Designer of the Degree in Musical Creation, Universidad Europea de Madrid, as well as professor and co-director of the Master’s Degree in Creative Musical Production, Universidad Europea de Madrid. Visiting professor at Santa Fe University of Art and Design where he collaborated with the music and cinema schools.
Javier Vidaurreta Uguina
Doctor in Communication and Graduate in Audiovisual Communication, UEM. Since September 2015 is Director of the Master’s Degree in Communications and Sports Journalism at the Real Madrid Graduate School, UEM and coordinator of spaces and laboratories for the Faculty of Social Sciences and Communications since October 2004. He collaborates actively with the academic coordination team and provides support to the department in matters relating to the teaching materials budget, investments and project development. As a professor, has taught the subjects Seminar on Recording and Video Editing, Communication and Audiovisual Information, Audiovisuals I, Systems and Equipment for Videorecording, Audiovisuals in Advertising Mediums, Editing and Postproduction, Workshop on Television Programs, Television Reports, All News on Television, Entertainment Technology, Audiovisual and Cinematographic Technology and has been director of different end of year thesis projects. Professionally, he collaborates with television and video production companies as camera operator, mixer, production assistant and set designer. He completed an Erasmus exchange at the University of Bilgi (Istambul). His main line of research centers on the implementation of active methodologies in university education.
The degree is taught by 19 professors and the majority of the credits of the degree are taught by doctors.

2. What does the admissions test consist of?
When will you know you’ve been accepted?
You’ll find out the result of the admissions test via an admissions letter that you’ll receive by email. If you have any doubts or queries, you can contact our Admissions Department for New Students at email@example.com.
3. Reserve your place
Along with the admissions letter, you will receive an envelope with information about official registration. It is recommended that in order to reserve your place, you should respond within 7 days of receiving the letter.
All students joining the Universidad Europea for the first time, wanting to study a degree, must open a file with the university, prior to registration. The Department of Admission for New Students will provide the candidate with all the documentation and forms to complete their registration.
You don’t have to carry on doing something you don’t want to. For this reason, we have designed specific convalidation and university transfer plan. Internships in companies are a key element in your education. Acquiring experience and putting into practice what you have learned on your degree is the best way to enter the labor market. There are two types of internship, curricular (which are included as part of your program) and extracurricular (which you can do on a voluntary basis).
In order to carry out an internship in a company, you’ll need to have passed 50% of your credits and register before you start the internship. Both the company and a professor on your course will monitor your progress on the internship as well as providing an evaluation at the half way mark and upon completion.
If you want to gain extra work experience before finalizing your university studies, you are welcome to carry out extracurricular internships. You can carry them out in whichever year of your studies you choose but we remind you that internships are formative and should complement your studies. The more theoretical knowledge you have acquired throughout your degree, the more you will benefit from the internships.
