Facilities

Use the different spaces the University makes available to you such as: 

  • Laboratory of Networks – Cisco: a space destined for the preparation and certification of the CISCO Certifications, where you can obtain the training and qualification within your area. CISCO Certifications are universally recognized as an industry standard for design and network support, guaranteeing a high level of knowledge and credibility.
  • Digital Manufacturing Laboratory – FabLab: this 150 m2 lab is made up of various rooms with rapid prototyping machines such as 3D scanners and 3D printers in different formats to work with plastic, resin, dust and ceramic, as well as numerical control machinery such as vinyl plotters, laser cutters, CNC milling machines and robotic arms of different characteristics. 
  • Robotics Laboratory: complete work experience in the use of robots such as Scorbot, Fanuc or Lego Maindstrom systems, with the aim to bringing the latest trends to our students and bridging the gap between Universities and Companies.
  • Electronics, Analog and Digital Laboratory: Develop different activities such as analyzing direct current and alternate networks, digital/analog systems design and integrated digital circuits, as well as developing and building electronic prototypes.
  • Open Labs: Free access laboratory software. Thanks to this initiative, students at Universidad Europea can access over 300 applications from any place and platform.  

Accommodation

If you are coming from outside of the Region of Madrid and would like to undertake the on-site full-time program, you can find accommodation in line with your needs: near to campus, safe, comfortable, in an academic setting, with good services, quality furnishings, etc. Thanks to the two student halls that Universidad Europea has, both located on campus and with capacity for 550 people, with all domestic, academic and safety needs ideally suited to a student.

These student halls are destined both for students or for those teachers or personnel who may need accommodation at some point: scientific, artistic or cultural exchanges, or even for any other person whose stay is directly or indirectly related to the University.

Student Projects

The Makers of the Degree in Telecommunications Engineering are Learning By Doing on projects integrated during their studies as part of the academic model of the Faculty of Architecture, Engineering and Design. The projects are real and worked on between students from different degrees, the same as a multidisciplinary team would in a real company.

María José Terrón López
Graduate in Physical Sciences, specializing in Electronics, Universidad Complutense de Madrid and Doctor in Photovoltaic Solar Energy, Universidad Politécnica de Madrid. Has participated in national and international research projects in the area of photovoltaic solar energy, applied optics and university education and employability. Has authored one of the chapters of the book "Development and Evaluation of Training in Higher Education", in the book "Education in Values" (both from Narcea) and of the "Guide for the Design of Resources that Encourage the Development and Evaluation of Transversal Skills in Education” of the Fundación Vértice, among others. 

Yolanda Blanco Archilla
Graduate in Physical Sciences, specializing in Electronics, Universidad de Salamanca, and Doctor in the Program of Signals and Radiocommunications Systems (SSR), Universidad Politécnica de Madrid. Worked in the SSR with a Personal Research Training scholarship, has participated in various research projects and completed exchanges at the University of Florida collaborating with CNEL (Computer Neuroengineering Lab) on projects of separation of neural signals. 

José Manuel López López
Graduate in Physical Sciences and Doctor in “Science and Technology of Colloids and Interphazes”. Completed an exchange at the "Centre for Computational Chemistry" at Cambridge University. Certified by ANECA as an Associate Professor Doctor. His experience includes theoretical and practical teaching in both English and Spanish. 

Silvia Abad Valtierra
Telecommunications Engineer and Doctor, Universidad Pública de Navarra. During her doctoral thesis, completed part of her research at Bell Labs Innovations (Murray Hill, USA) and in the Group of Optoelectronics of INESC Porto (Portugal). Her field of research centers on Optical Communications and Sensors in Fiber optics. 

Víctor Padrón
Leading Professor, teaches subjects relating to Digital Systems, Systems Navigation and Electronics. Obtained his Doctorate in Industrial Engineering at Universidad Carlos III de Madrid in July 2000. His doctoral thesis centered on the design of kinematics and movement planning of a climbing robot capable of navigating complex three-dimensional structures. 

Fernando Martín de Pablos
Telecommunications Engineer, Master’s Degree in Digital Home, Infrastructures and Services and a doctoral student. In contact with new audiovisual technologies, works professionally and academically. Entrepreneur and founder of various companies relating to image, sound and telecommunications installations. Video and Sound Producer. Producer of internet coverage including Audiovisual Accessibility for people with sensorial handicaps.

Jose Javier Medina Muñoz
Technical Telecommunications Engineer; Master’s Degree ESEM-Commercial Management and Marketing. Euro engineer FEANI certified in Paris. Dean of the Official College of Graduates and Technical Telecommunications Engineers. President of the Spanish Association of Graduates and Technical Telecommunications Engineers, President of the Commission on International Relations of INITE, Member of the Advisory Council on Telecommunications and for the Society of Information, Member of the Presentation of the Ministry of Industry of the Advance Plan and the Digital Agenda. 

Juan Antonio Piñuela Izquierdo
Telecommunications Engineer and Doctor in the doctoral program “Technology and Communications Systems”. Combines his academic role as a professor at Unviersidad Europea de Madrid with professional activities of management, analysis-programming on different projects for companies involved in the development of multiplatform solutions of a multimedia character or management of data analysis such as “Conento”, “Visual Counter”, “Pixel and Pixel” or “Technoexpress”.

Santiago Torres Alegre
Telecommunications Engineer, Graduate in Law and Master’s Degree in Commercial Management and Marketing. For 14 years has worked at VODAFONE, integrated in the area of Network Engineering, in his latest position develops tasks relating to the legal fulfillment of network transfers, as well as acting as an intermediary with public Administrations to foment network deployments.

Admission process

1. Documentation

To begin your admission process, the first thing to do is book your appointment online or by calling 91 740 72 72.

  • Selectividad card showing eligibility status
  • Two photocopies of your ID

  • Proof of payment of the Admission fee before or on the date of appointment

2.  What does the admissions test consist of?

When will you know you’ve been accepted?

You’ll find out the result of the admissions test via an admissions letter that you’ll receive by email. If you have any doubts or queries, you can contact our Admissions Department for New Students at ads@universidadeuropea.es

3. Reserve your place

Along with the admissions letter, you will receive an envelope with information about official registration. It is recommended that in order to reserve your place, you should respond within 7 days of receiving the letter.

4. Registration

All students joining the Universidad Europea for the first time, wanting to study a degree, must open a file with the university, prior to registration. The Department of Admission for New Students will provide the candidate with all the documentation and forms to complete their registration.

Convalidations and transfers

You don’t have to carry on doing something you don’t want to. For this reason, we have designed specific convalidation and university transfer plan. If you want to know your personalized plan, as quickly and easily as possible, send us an email to convalidaciones@universidadeuropea.es along with the following documentation:

  • Personal academic certificate of the original degree.
  • Study plan sealed by the Secretariat of the center of origin.
  • The academic program of the subjects studied and/or enrolled in the original degree.
  • Officially translated degree certificate (only in the case of foreign graduates)

In case of requesting recognition for professional experience, you will be required to provide;

  • Work life certificate
  • Curriculum vitae
  • Company certificate, only in those cases where it is necessary to prove the functions performed in the company, or in cases of students with international professional experience who cannot provide a work-life certificate.

Professional practices

Internships in companies are a key element in your education. Acquiring experience and putting into practice what you have learned on your degree is the best way to enter the labor market. There are two types of internship, curricular (which are included as part of your program) and extracurricular (which you can do on a voluntary basis).

In order to carry out an internship in a company, you’ll need to have passed 50% of your credits and register before you start the internship. Both the company and a professor on your course will monitor your progress on the internship as well as providing an evaluation at the half way mark and upon completion. 

If you want to gain extra work experience before finalizing your university studies, you are welcome to carry out extracurricular internships. You can carry them out in whichever year of your studies you choose but we remind you that internships are formative and should complement your studies. The more theoretical knowledge you have acquired throughout your degree, the more you will benefit from the internships.
