Faclities

  • Graphic deisgn room

In it, different activities to acquire the basis of graphic design and advance in different areas of advertising (creativity assisted by computer and packaging), creativity in web pages (not just from a technical point of view but also from a strategic and creative one) and print media. It has the most used programs in these areas such as Photoshop, Flash, Dreamweaver, Illustrator, InDesign, among others.

  • Television studio

Prepared for the completion of multicamera programs, it has three camera channels and one dolly, which communicate via intercom with the production control and LCD monitoring and a multiscreen system.  It has AutoCue for the voice-over of broadcasters to camera and speed control via pedal. The studio has Chrome in order to practice completing deep in-lays. In the Production Control, the cameras can be controlled via CCU, with lighting, sound, DVE and mixer. Students complete their own programs (news, contests, debates…) launching their headlines, news blasts and pieces from VTRs, videos on the server or direct lines with other rooms such as the virtual set or situated in the same room.  

  • Radio Studios

There are three recording studios and call boxes with work stations which allow the automation of the emission, recording, editing and sound file management with the most used software in current media platforms, AudioPlus. Additionally, there are other reproduction sources available such as CD, minidisk, digital recorders, telephone lines and RDSI, all controlled from professional radio tables with between 12 and 16 channels. Each one of the studios has internet access and the common newsroom with access to news agencies and tv signal for national television stations. These studios record all kinds of radio programs (debates, interviews, magazines, advertisements, sporting events…). 

  •  Infography and multimedia room

Here all issues relating to the development and application of new technologies for different digital communications are addressed. Work takes place for different platforms such as the internet, mobile phones, interactive television and creation of virtual sets. For this, there is software available such as Photoshop, Premiere, After Effects, Flash, Dreamweaver, InDesign, 3D Max 2013 and Cinema 4D.

  • Information and digital photography room 

Equipped with the necessary technology to professionally retouch photographs, opaque and film scanners, printers, graphic tables and specific software to work with images and digital cameras. 

Accommodation 

If you are coming from outside of the Region of Madrid and would like to undertake the on-site full-time program, you can find accommodation in line with your needs: near to campus, safe, comfortable, in an academic setting, with good services, quality furnishings, etc. Thanks to the two student halls that Universidad Europea has, both located on campus and with capacity for 550 people, with all domestic, academic and safety needs ideally suited to a student.

These student halls are destined both for students or for those teachers or personnel who may need accommodation at some point: scientific, artistic or cultural exchanges, or even for any other person whose stay is directly or indirectly related to the University.

In addition to all the companies where students can complete internships, Universidad Europea has specific collaboration agreements for students in the Degree in Marketing with: Dia%, BBVA, Xanadu, Comunica +A, Real Madrid, among others, so that students can work on real projects in the classroom, guided by a teacher, with our teaching Consulting Lab methodology where the company is in the classroom and the classroom is in the company.

  • ... from your first day obtain work experience in our multimedia platform, Europea Media, participating in activities with the television, newspaper, radio, the audiovisual production company and get to know the reality of working on a media plan within the strategic marketing plan of a company.  Also, you will have the opportunity to work with companies as a business and marketing consultant through ConsultingLab, a teaching methodology in which, guided by a teacher, you will work on projects and campaigns from the classroom. An experience-based learning approach, where you become involved in real projects, with real companies and brands.

Faculty

The teaching faculty in the Degree in Marketing is made up of a perfect balance of academics and professional experts who combine their teaching work with working in companies, allowing them to bring their experiences into the classroom.  

Mercedes Agüero Pérez
Doctor in Communications, Universidad Europea de Madrid, Master’s Degree in Business Management, UNED and a Graduate of Information Sciences (specializing in Advertising and Public Relations), UCM. Her professional activity has developed in different advertising agencies where she has worked as an account executive and head of accounts, as well as working for strategy consultancies and managing large clients. She is currently Vice Dean of Marketing and Communications in the Faculty of Social Sciences and Communications and a professor of subjects such as “Corporate Communications” in the Degree in Advertising; and “Management of Risks and Reputation on social networks” on the Master’s Degree in Digital Journalism and Social Networks and in the Master’s Degree in Communications Management. Has been a visiting professor at Università degli studi di Milano (Italy). Her main research area regards corporate reputation, identity and image on social networks.

Blanca Rodríguez Polo
Doctor in Applied Economics, Universidad Complutense de Madrid. Certified in all university categories and is a lead professor. Has numerous publications in the field of employment Economics and educational research applied to Economics and Business. Has been awarded the University Quality Prize by Universidad Europea in its V edition. Has always combined her teaching role with university management: currently is Director of Business Area.

César Martín de Bernardo González
Doctor in Business and Economics Sciences (UEM). Graduate in Business and Economics Sciences (UCM). Master’s Degree in Marketing Management (IE). Has over 15 years’ experience in interactive marketing at companies such as Antena3, where he was Head of Telemarketing or at Grupo Dia% where he was Head of New Businesses. Currently, combines his position as Head of Strategy at the Serena Comunicación Agency with his work as Head of Business Area at UEM. His main areas of research are: digital marketing and neuromarketing, where he is currently leading two doctoral theses and where he has participated in conferences on the subject at different universities and business schools. Coauthor of the book "El marketing móvil una nueva herramienta de comunicación", Editorial Netbiblo. Madrid 2007. 

Eva Ropero Moriones
Certified as a private university professor. Doctor cum laude in Economics, UC3M. Graduate in Business Management, UPNA (Awarded the Prize to the Highest GPA) and IT and Management Engineer, UNED. Has worked as a professor and researcher at UC3M and UPNA. Currently is the leading professor in the area of Finances at UEM and coordinator of the certification of the Faculty of Social Sciences and Communications. Has completed international teaching and research exchanges at the Universities of Toulouse (France), Staffordshire (United Kingdom) and Andrés Bello (Chile) and communications at international conferences. Her research areas are Finances and Educational Innovation.

Alberto Moreno Melgarejo
Graduate in History, Universidad Complutense de Madrid. Master’s Degree in Cultural Management (Université Libre de Bruxelles), Double Master’s Degree in European Tourism Management (Bournemouth University and Université de Savoie) and a European Doctorate in Tourism (Universidad Rey Juan Carlos) having completed exchanges at Dalarna University and the Université du Québec à Montréal. Has worked professionally as a tourism consultant in aspects relating to the planning and development of tourist destinations and has collaborated with international organizations such as the World Tourism Organization or the World Bank. Currently is a professor in the Degree in Tourism at the University of Kendall College, Chicago. His main research areas relate to the planning and management of tourist destinations.

Fátima Moreno Sánchez
Doctor in Business Economics, Universidad San Pablo-CEU. Graduate in Economics Sciences, Universidad Complutense de Madrid and Graduate in Market Research and Techniques, Universidad Pontificia de Comillas- ICADE. Certified in all university categories. Has been a professor of Universidad Europea de Madrid since 2000. Has published numerous articles in the area of marketing and trade shows.  

Jose Antonio Blázquez Jiménez
Doctor in Marketing and Graduate in Information Sciences (Advertising and Public Relations), Universidad Complutense de Madrid. Professionally, has worked in commercial consulting and sales at Praxis and at Universidad Complutense de Madrid as Coordinator for the Master’s Degree in Marketing. Has taught several Master’s classes at numerous institutions as well as conducting training for companies such as Telefónica or Asisa. Marketing Professor at the Universidad Europea de Madrid since 1995, having taught numerous subjects. Has participated in international exchanges at ESCE (Paris) and ISLA (Lisbon).

Alfredo Rodríguez Fuertes
Doctoral student in Marketing, Universidad de Alcalá de Henares and Master’s Degree in Marketing, Universidad Rey Juan Carlos. Has over 30 years’ professional experience in private companies, national companies and at multinationals, working in leadership roles in the commercial sector (Marketing and Sales). Combines his professional work as a consultant with teaching on degrees and postgrads.

José Jesús Vargas Delgado
Head Professor in Creativity and Persuasive Communication in the Department of Marketing and Advertising, Faculty of Social Sciences, Universidad Europea de Madrid (2014). Dean of the Universidad Europea de Canarias (UEC). Director of the Department of Advertising and Content and Director of the Department of Corporate Communications at UEM (2002-2012). Qualified Doctor in Creative Graphic Advertising. His research area centers on linking new alternative techniques like masters in meditation, based on relaxation and conscience (meditation and mindfulness) as well as stimulation and encouraging creativity and personal and professional evolution of the individual.

Fernando Doral Fábregas
Doctor in Knowledge and Information Society (UPM). Graduate in Market Research and Techniques (UOC) and IT Engineer (UPM). Master’s Degree in Society of Information and Knowledge (UOC). Has over 20 years’ professional experience, beginning as an IT systems engineer (7 years), then moving into Commercial Management and Leadership (8 years) and finally into Marketing Management (10 years). Has led various international projects, with periods in Germany and Portugal and has also completed international exchanges to establish relations with the University of Bilgi in Istanbul and the European University of Cyprus in Nicosia.  

Sergio Baltasar Lallave (Zape)
Doctor in Communications, Universidad Rey Juan Carlos, Graduate in Advertising, Universidad Antonio de Nebrija and Master’s Degree in Cinema, Television and Interactive Media, URJC.

Has worked for over 15 years as a creative director in agencies such as Contrapunto, McCann-Erickson, Grey, The Farm and Labstore Y&R developing campaigns for clients such as Coca-Cola, Procter & Gamble, Diageo and Movistar among others. As well as having shot over 35 advertising spots, he has won several advertising prizes nationally and internationally (including the Sol de Bronce, FIAP 2015) and has been awarded the Vicente Aleixandre prize for short story.

Currently is part of the creation department for The Good Rebels, teaches the Workshop on Innovation, Advertising Writing, Creation and Innovation at UEM and is studying towards his doctorate in new forms of advertising narration.

Begoña Moreno López
Doctor in Advertising Universidad de Valladolid and Graduate in Advertising and Public Relations, Universidad Complutense de Madrid. Has developed her professional activity as Art Director in advertising agencies such as McCann-Erickson, Delvico Bates or 210. Currently directs the El Cencerro Rural Ad Festival, the first rural advertising festival and is a professor of Creative Thinking, Workshops on Creative Techniques and Workshops on Integrated Creations. Has completed teaching exchanges at The National College of Arts (Dublin), the University of Staffordshire (United Kingdom), Hogeschoole van Amsterdam (the Netherlands) and Hogeschole van Maastricht (the Netherlands).

Admission process

1. Documentation

To begin your admission process, the first thing to do is book your appointment online or by calling 91 740 72 72.

2.  What does the admissions test consist of?

When will you know you’ve been accepted?

You’ll find out the result of the admissions test via an admissions letter that you’ll receive by email. If you have any doubts or queries, you can contact our Admissions Department for New Students at ads@universidadeuropea.es

3. Reserve your place

Along with the admissions letter, you will receive an envelope with information about official registration. It is recommended that in order to reserve your place, you should respond within 7 days of receiving the letter.

4. Registration

All students joining the Universidad Europea for the first time, wanting to study a degree, must open a file with the university, prior to registration. The Department of Admission for New Students will provide the candidate with all the documentation and forms to complete their registration.

Convalidations and transfers

You don’t have to carry on doing something you don’t want to. For this reason, we have designed specific convalidation and university transfer plan. If you want to know your personalized plan, as quickly and easily as possible, send us an email to convalidaciones@universidadeuropea.es along with the following documentation:

  • Personal academic certificate of the original degree.
  • Study plan sealed by the Secretariat of the center of origin.
  • The academic program of the subjects studied and/or enrolled in the original degree.
  • Officially translated degree certificate (only in the case of foreign graduates)

In case of requesting recognition for professional experience, you will be required to provide;

  • Work life certificate
  • Curriculum vitae
  • Company certificate, only in those cases where it is necessary to prove the functions performed in the company, or in cases of students with international professional experience who cannot provide a work-life certificate.

Professional practices

Internships in companies are a key element in your education. Acquiring experience and putting into practice what you have learned on your degree is the best way to enter the labor market. There are two types of internship, curricular (which are included as part of your program) and extracurricular (which you can do on a voluntary basis).

In order to carry out an internship in a company, you’ll need to have passed 50% of your credits and register before you start the internship. Both the company and a professor on your course will monitor your progress on the internship as well as providing an evaluation at the half way mark and upon completion. 

If you want to gain extra work experience before finalizing your university studies, you are welcome to carry out extracurricular internships. You can carry them out in whichever year of your studies you choose but we remind you that internships are formative and should complement your studies. The more theoretical knowledge you have acquired throughout your degree, the more you will benefit from the internships.
