Accommodation

If you are coming from outside of the Region of Madrid and would like to undertake the on-site full-time program, you can find accommodation in line with your needs: near to campus, safe, comfortable, in an academic setting, with good services, quality furnishings, etc. Thanks to the two student halls that Universidad Europea has, both located on campus and with capacity for 550 people, with all domestic, academic and safety needs ideally suited to a student.

These student halls are destined both for students or for those teachers or personnel who may need accommodation at some point: scientific, artistic or cultural exchanges, or even for any other person whose stay is directly or indirectly related to the University.

Tiziana Priede Bergamini
Professor of Company Organization, Universidad Europea. Doctor in Financial Business Economics and Graduate in Business and Economics Sciences, Universidad Complutense de Madrid. Currently teaches classes in both Spanish and English, as the leading professor of Business Economics, Management and Family Business and Strategic Management at UE, although she also teaches at other universities and institutions, both in Spain and in other countries. Has been the Head of the Master’s Degree in International Hotel and Hospitality Management at UEM and Les Roches School of Hotel Management (Switzerland). Is the author of various books and indexed articles in international magazines relating to the subjects taught, as well as the Director of several Theses and research projects. Currently centers her research in the area of social business and family companies.  

Antonio Alcocer Fernández-Pinilla
Senior Industrial Engineer, ICAI; MSc. in Management, Birmingham University, Master’s Degree in Finances, ICADE, European Financial Advisor Certificate (EFA), Six Sigma Green Belt Certificate. International professional experience of over 13 years in management positions in 6 countries (Canada, USA, Spain, United Kingdom, Belgium and Latam) in the areas of: consulting, strategy, finances, corporate development, marketing and operations in multinational environments (European Union, Sony, PSA Citroën Peugeot, Agrolimen and MLP Private Finance). Currently is CEO of the business consultancy Alcocer&Co (www.alcocerco.com), President of the NGO Minds4Change (www.minds4change.org) centered on issues of business and training, a doctoral student in Finances, international in-company trainer and professor of Master’s degree and degree programs at Universidad Europea in the area of Business Economics and Finance as well as a visiting professor at several business schools and universities in the areas of: project management, strategy, marketing, finances and entrepreneurship. 

Luana Gava
Doctor in Economics, Universidad Carlos III de Madrid, Master’s Degree in Economics, CORIPE-Universitá di Torino and Graduate in Business Management, Universitá Ca’Foscari di Venezia. Currently Lead Professor in the area of Finances. As a teacher has centered her work on Business Economics, Marketing and Finance, both from a theoretical point of view and an empirical one at Degree, Master’s and Doctoral level. She has participated in various national and international conferences, is coauthor of various books and has undertaken many exchanges at various universities. Additionally, she has held different management positions as the Program Director of the Doctoral Programs of the Faculty, Director of the Economics Department, Academic Director and Director of the Department of Business Management. Currently is Director of Student Services (Faculty of Social Sciences and Communications) and responsible for the area of Professional Careers and University Life at the University. Her research areas center around Finances and Educational Innovation. 

León M. Gómez Rivas
Doctor in History and Economics, Universidad Complutense. Teaches Ethics, History and Economic Thinking at Universidad Europea since 1991. Certified as a leading professor by ANECA, has completed various teaching exchanges (Universities of Maynooth and Limerick, Ireland; Bilgi, Istanbul or Francisco Marroquín in Guatemala). Is a member of several academic associations, Mont Pelerin Society or European Business Ethics Network. Has been invited on numerous occasions by Liberty Fund. His research centers on the History of Political and Economic Thinking in modern Europe (XVI and XVII centuries, particularly the School of Salamanca) as well as current ethical issues regarding business and social responsibility of companies. 

Mª Victoria Gutiérrez Duarte
Doctor in Business Law, Universidad Europea de Madrid. Master’s Degree in Tax Advice organized by the Spanish Association of Tax Advisors (Asociación Española de Asesores Fiscales). Graduate in Economics and Business Sciences, Universidad Complutense de Madrid. Associate Professor of several subjects, in the area of public economics and tax, within the Department of Economics and Finance, Universidad Europea de Madrid. Her main research areas are tax systems, environmental taxation and educational innovation.  

Eva Ropero Moriones
Certified as a private university professor. Doctor cum laude in Economics, UC3M. Graduate in Business Management, UPNA (Awarded the Prize to the Highest GPA) and IT and Management Engineer, UNED. Has worked as a professor and researcher at UC3M and UPNA. Currently is the leading professor in the area of Finances at UEM and coordinator of the certification of the Faculty of Social Sciences and Communications. Has completed international teaching and research exchanges at the Universities of Toulouse (France), Staffordshire (United Kingdom) and Andrés Bello (Chile) and communications at international conferences. Her research areas are Finances and Educational Innovation. 

Verónica Baena
Professor of Marketing, Universidad Europea. Holds a Joint Double Degree in Law and Business Management, Universidad Carlos III de Madrid and is a Doctor of Applied Economics, Universidad de Alcalá. Certified by ANECA as lead professor of Public Universities. Has been a visiting professor at Universidad de La Habana (Cuba), Universidade do Porto (Portugal), Bogazici University (Turkey) and Università Ca’Foscari (Italy). Has directed 4 doctoral theses and participated in 17 research projects. Additionally, has published over 40 articles in indexed magazines, 11 chapters in books and has presented 50 talks in academic conferences in the area of marketing.

1. Documentation

To begin your admission process, the first thing to do is book your appointment online or by calling 91 740 72 72.

2.  What does the admissions test consist of?

When will you know you’ve been accepted?

You’ll find out the result of the admissions test via an admissions letter that you’ll receive by email. If you have any doubts or queries, you can contact our Admissions Department for New Students at ads@universidadeuropea.es

3. Reserve your place

Along with the admissions letter, you will receive an envelope with information about official registration. It is recommended that in order to reserve your place, you should respond within 7 days of receiving the letter.

4. Registration

All students joining the Universidad Europea for the first time, wanting to study a degree, must open a file with the university, prior to registration. The Department of Admission for New Students will provide the candidate with all the documentation and forms to complete their registration.

Convalidations and transfers

You don’t have to carry on doing something you don’t want to. For this reason, we have designed specific convalidation and university transfer plan. If you want to know your personalized plan, as quickly and easily as possible, send us an email to convalidaciones@universidadeuropea.es along with the following documentation:

  • Personal academic certificate of the original degree.
  • Study plan sealed by the Secretariat of the center of origin.
  • The academic program of the subjects studied and/or enrolled in the original degree.
  • Officially translated degree certificate (only in the case of foreign graduates)

In case of requesting recognition for professional experience, you will be required to provide;

  • Work life certificate
  • Curriculum vitae
  • Company certificate, only in those cases where it is necessary to prove the functions performed in the company, or in cases of students with international professional experience who cannot provide a work-life certificate.

Professional practices

Internships in companies are a key element in your education. Acquiring experience and putting into practice what you have learned on your degree is the best way to enter the labor market. There are two types of internship, curricular (which are included as part of your program) and extracurricular (which you can do on a voluntary basis).

In order to carry out an internship in a company, you’ll need to have passed 50% of your credits and register before you start the internship. Both the company and a professor on your course will monitor your progress on the internship as well as providing an evaluation at the half way mark and upon completion. 

If you want to gain extra work experience before finalizing your university studies, you are welcome to carry out extracurricular internships. You can carry them out in whichever year of your studies you choose but we remind you that internships are formative and should complement your studies. The more theoretical knowledge you have acquired throughout your degree, the more you will benefit from the internships.
