Facilities

With a clear vision aimed at academic excellence, you will develop part of your training in the Simulated Hospital at Universidad Europea. The Hospital is an educational environment where students and health professionals learn, through simulations and inter-professional education, different types of skills in a non-stressful environment, but close to reality and under the supervision of professors.  

An environment where you will be able to repeat, as often as necessary, the technique or specific skill that allows you to make mistakes without consequences, its detailed analysis and correction and the complex control of the learning situation. You will also receive continuous feedback about your performance in order to be evaluated objectively.

In the Simulated Hospital you will make use of the following classrooms:

  • 1 Task Training Classroom: Equipped with simulators and necessary devices for the development of skills and clinical dexterity
  • 4 complex simulation rooms: In this area you will complete clinical scenarios and discuss them with your fellow students in observation and de-briefing rooms. These rooms are designed areas in the operating room, resuscitation room, emergency room, intensive care unit. All the rooms have an audiovisual system which allows for streaming to take place.

Professional internships

You will complete 280 hours of practical internships* divided into 2 modules of one month each in a morning or afternoon working session.

  • One internship will take place in an intensive care unit. 
  • The other internship will take place in a surgical unit. 

*The internships will take place in collaborating centers according to availability.

Classes will take place between October and February and the internships (2 months) between March and June.

Syllabus Structure

Module I. Surgical Block.

  • Foundations of Surgical Nursing.
  • Workshop on sutures.
  • Digestive, Orthopedic and O.R.L. Surgery.
  • Thoracic, Vascular and Cardiac Surgery.
  • Neuro surgery, urological surgery and gynecological surgery.
  • Anesthesia and pharma-therapy in the operating room.
  • Robotic surgery: DA VINCI

TOTAL: 75 HOURS

  • Clinical practical work in operating rooms.

TOTAL: 140 HOURS

Module II. Intensive Care.

  • Evaluation of the critical patient.
  • Renal failure and extracorporeal filtering techniques.
  • Initial attention to serious trauma.
  • Hemodynamic monitoring and advanced electrocardiograph.
  • Mechanical ventilation and nursing care.
  • Pharma-therapy in the Intensive Care Unit.
  • Vital, Basic and Advanced Support in the Intensive Care Unit.

Admission process

1. Documentation

To begin your admission process, the first thing to do is book your appointment online or by calling 91 740 72 72.

  • Selectividad card showing eligibility status
  • Two photocopies of your ID
  • Academic record file transfer 
  • Proof of payment of the Admission fee before or on the date of appointment

2.  What does the admissions test consist of?

When will you know you’ve been accepted?

You’ll find out the result of the admissions test via an admissions letter that you’ll receive by email. If you have any doubts or queries, you can contact our Admissions Department for New Students at ads@universidadeuropea.es

3. Reserve your place

Along with the admissions letter, you will receive an envelope with information about official registration. It is recommended that in order to reserve your place, you should respond within 7 days of receiving the letter.

4. Registration

All students joining the Universidad Europea for the first time, wanting to study a degree, must open a file with the university, prior to registration. The Department of Admission for New Students will provide the candidate with all the documentation and forms to complete their registration.

Convalidations and transfers

You don’t have to carry on doing something you don’t want to. For this reason, we have designed specific convalidation and university transfer plan. If you want to know your personalized plan, as quickly and easily as possible, send us an email to convalidaciones@universidadeuropea.es along with the following documentation:

  • Personal academic certificate of the original degree.
  • Study plan sealed by the Secretariat of the center of origin.
  • The academic program of the subjects studied and/or enrolled in the original degree.
  • Officially translated degree certificate (only in the case of foreign graduates)

In case of requesting recognition for professional experience, you will be required to provide;

  • Work life certificate
  • Curriculum vitae
  • Company certificate, only in those cases where it is necessary to prove the functions performed in the company, or in cases of students with international professional experience who cannot provide a work-life certificate.
