UEC Professor and Círculo de Bellas Artes President presents the 2016 Summer Exhibition

The event includes works from more than 100 Spanish and international artists

The Círculo de Bellas Artes in Tenerife presented the second edition of its Summer Exhibition Tenerife to the media on July 4, an event led by the organization’s president, Dulce Xerach Pérez, a professor at Universidad Europea de Canarias. The art event includes the works of 118 artists from the Canary Islands, the Iberian peninsula and countries in Europe, Asia and America, all reflecting their visions and recreations of summertime.

The exhibition will be supplemented by activities and events under the same theme, and is taking place in the newly-renovated facilities, courtesy of internationally renowned Canary Islands architect Fernando Menis. The institution, birthplace of surrealism in Spain, is officially reopening its remodeled space in tandem with its new line of work: to interconnect culture, modern thought, landscape and tourism. The details about this new line of work for the independent cultural institution were revealed as part of the Círculo’s 90th anniversary celebration with a twist, featuring unique activities in upcoming months.
