Universidad Europea’s Challenge Based School organizes its I Congress in Challenge Based Learning (CBL): Experiential Learning through Real Challenges. Confirmed keynote speakers are David Marsh Ph.D., Director of Innovation & Outreach EduCluster Finland and the Designers of the Food on the Go Challenge, McCain, Leslie Camus_, Director Sales Retail France y Christine Delepierre, Director Marketing QSR CEU.  There will be conversations with experts such as Francisco Álvarez, Director Corporate Learning, and Development, Gestamp, Juan Freire, Associate Dean, Academics and Internationalization, Universidad Tecnológica de Monterrey, Mexico, Daniel Vecino, Founder of Wakigami by The Hero Plan and an awards ceremony for best practices in CBL.

Participation Guidelines

  • Any university professor may present a proposal
  • There is a limit of two proposals per author
  • Proposals may be in English or Spanish
  • Practices must be from the last two academic years (17-18, 18-19) and in an area of knowledge pertaining to Social Sciences and Communication.
  • In order to present a practice, it is required to be registered in the congress

Proposal Presentation

The proposal of your Good practice shall be sent via email to the following address CBLcongress@universidadeuropea.es and shall include:

  • A pdf document filled out in the template here provided
  • A three-minute maximum video sent via WeTransfer that includes a brief description of the challenge steps taken with students and the solution proposed, as well as results in those cases where the challenge was put into practice.
  • Deadline for submission: May 20, 2019

Evaluation of Proposal

The proposal will be evaluated according to the following criteria:

  • The practice provides a benefit to society or the community 
  • The activities carried out and resources provided for the challenge are adequate and sufficient
  • The key competencies proposed promote cross-disciplinary collaboration
  • The solution proposed is feasible and applicable
  • The channels of dissemination of the challenge are of significant impact
  • The presentation video is attractive and informative

Prizes

There will be a total of 8 prizes awarded, 6 academic awards for good practice and 2 awards for collaborating organizations from the professional world:

  • 2 external awards for International institutions
  • 2 external awards for National institutions
  • 2 internal awards for professors and students our own School of Social Sciences and Communication, and
  • 2 awards for collaborating organizations. These 2 will be voted on by the School Board based on their commitment to the academic world by provided real world challenges.
