Aware of society’s duty to adapt to diversity among people, our Disability Services team offers the University Community an area of support aimed at students with physical and/or sensory impairments.

Specifically, we provide the following services:

  • Constant personal support thanks to a “buddy” student, who will be on hand to provide assistance as the disabled student adapts to their new classroom and campus environment and becomes familiar with the various university services available.
  • Infoaccessibility. Unlimited access to the content of the courses the student has enrolled on, through the campus virtual and from anywhere with an Internet connection.
  • Career counseling, job/internship search assistance, and help in preparing a personal skills list, thanks to the collaboration agreement with Fundación Manpower .
  • Resource bank for technical assistance, as part of a specific Fundación Universia program and through other specialized advisory institutions such as Fundación Once.
  • Diversity training for faculty. We train our professors to manage disability in the classroom.
  • Curricular adaptation needs assessment. The educational team assesses possible special needs arising from student disabilities in order to make appropriate adjustments to the curriculum.
  • Awareness-raising. We organize workshops and other activities to raise disability awareness among students and the university community as a whole.
  • Emotional support provided by the Disability Services team in case of difficulty.
  • Gradual removal of architectural barriers, with the aim of making our campuses fully accessible for people with any type of disability.
