CONRADO BRICEÑO

CarmeloCEO Universidad Europea and CEO Laureate España

Master's in Business Administration from the A.B. Freeman School of Business of the Universidad de Tulane (USO) and Master's in Administration from the Universidad de Chile. Conrado Briceño also has a Postgraduate Diploma in Finance from the University of Chile, and a degree in Industrial Civil Engineering from the Pontificia Universidad Católica de Valparaíso (Chile). He joined Laureate International Universities in 2001 as CFO for Chile and Ecuador. Throughout his career at Laureate he has held various relevant executive roles including CFO, COO and Pro-Rector of the Universidad de Las Américas in Chile, and COO for Laureate Andean Region in Latin America. In 2014 he was appointed CFO Laureate Europe; from this position he headed up various transformations in the field of finance and growth initiatives, until he was appointed CEO Laureate España in 2016.

 JUAN MOROTE SARRIÓN

CarmeloRector of Universidad Europea de Valencia

PhD in Law from the Universitat de València and MBA Executive, Juan Morote was Chief Executive Office of Advanced Business Management and also has vast experience in the education sector in the Autonomous Community of Valencia. He has held various managing positions and was Vice Rector for Strategic Planning and Quality at the Universidad Católica de Valencia, as well as managing the Institute for Strategic International Studies, among other management roles at that institution. He was also Vice Dean of the School of Social, Legal and Communication Sciences at the Universidad Cardenal Herrera CEU in Valencia.

 CRISTIANA OLIVEIRA

Rector of Universidad Europea de Canarias

She holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Agriculture from the Escola Superior Agraria de Castelo Blanco, Portugal, and a PhD in Tourism from L’Université de Perpignan Via Domitia (France). In 2015 she joined the Universidad Europea de Canarias as Vice Rector for Planning and Development, a clear commitment from the academic institution to internationalization and diversification, and in order to contribute to its growth and reinforcing the degree programs on offer. She has vast experience in the tourism and teaching sectors.

Elena de la Fuente

ChemaGeneral Secretary of the Universidad Europea

Elena de la Fuente holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Law by the Universidad Complutense de Madrid, a Doctor’s Degree in Law by the Universidad Complutense de Madrid, and a Graduate Degree in University Management by the Universidad Politécnica de Cataluña. She is a member of the Madrid-ICAM association of attorneys and has worked as a Competition Law and Commercial Law attorney, as well as an associate university professor. She also specializes in University Regulation Law, a subject she has published various books and articles on.

 ROMINA ARENAS

Director of Digital Education

She holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Information Sciences and a Master's in Marketing and Commercial Management, with over 15 years’ experience in managing and promoting Business to Consumer (B2C) and Business to Business (B2B) digital projects for the advertising, industrial and telecommunications sectors. Before joining our institution, she worked as a Product Manager for mobile business development at Telefónica, where she developed a solid career background holding management positions including Manager of Digital Personalization and Web Analytics, of Digital Business Development for businesses and online channels, etc. She is an academic specialist in Disruptive Marketing, Digital Strategy and Consumer Trends, and teaches Innovation in Digital Business Models.

 ANTONIO DUARTE

Vice President of Human Resources

With a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology and a Master's in Human Resources and Executive Coaching, Antonio Duarte has developed his career holding different management positions in this field at companies such as Hertz, Calvin Klein and Tyco. Antonio Duarte joined Laureate in late 2015 as Director of Organizational and Talent Development for Europe.

 JOSÉ RAMÓN GONZÁLEZ

He holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Economic and Business Sciences from the Colegio Universitatio de Estudios Financieros (CUNEF) and a Master's in Business Administration from IESE, joining Laureate International Universities in 2014 as FP&A Director for Europe. In 2015 he also assumed the role of CFO for Morocco, and in 2016 was appointed CFO for Spain and Portugal. Before joining Laureate, José Ramón González held various financial management positions at multinationals such as McDonald’s, Prosegur and USG People Group.

 CRISTINA GONZÁLEZ

Director of the Real Madrid Graduate School – Universidad Europea

With a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration from the Universidad Autónoma de Madrid, Cristina González specialized in marketing and finance, taking on various roles at mass consumption sector multinationals such as Unilever and Beauté Prestige International. In 2008 she joined the Universidad Europea de Madrid as Marketing Manager, developing a solid background in this field until she also took on Marketing Management duties for Laureate International Universities Europe. In 2011 she was appointed General Manager of the Real Madrid Graduate School - Universidad Europea, taking on management for Spain and 12 additional countries where the graduate school has headquarters.

 MARÍA LEAL

Director of the Universidad Europea de Madrid Alcobendas Campus

With a Bachelor’s Degree in Law, she has 22 years’ experience in the service sector, managing multidisciplinary teams in the fields of Sales, Finance and Human Resources. She has held various general management positions at different educational institutions such as Dipale Development -a project based on neurodidactic methodologies- or Kidscoe Group, Spanish leader in infant school management. She has also held management positions at other recognized firms such as Adecco.

 JOSÉ MARÍA PALOMARES

ChemaDirector of Corporate Communication and Public Affairs

José María Palomares holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Geography and History from the Universidad Autónoma de Madrid, and has taken various postgraduate programs at ESADE, INSEAD and IE. Before joining the University, he was the Vice President of Communications for Spain and Portugal at ING Bank, and formerly the Communications and Relationship Marketing Manager at Telefónica Empresas. Furthermore, José María Palomares has ample teaching experience, both at universities and at business schools.

 MIGUEL ZARZUELO

Vice President of Marketing

With a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration and a PDG from IESE, Miguel Zarzuelo has vast professional experience in management positions at leading companies. He was Marketing and Customer Director at SegurCaixa Adeslas, where he was responsible for the positioning of the two commercial brands and all policies for product development, advertising, sponsorship, promotion, incentives and customer experience. Prior to this, he was Marketing and Offers Director at Pelayo Mutua de Seguros, where he drove the brand’s strategic positioning definition, and the drafting and implementation of its marketing plan.
